The cover doesn't match the book.
Never had a problem before, but as you can see the cover, doesn't match the book.

Fun and Effective for Students...Affordable for Me!
This is one of the best resources for the Common Core State Standards that I have seen. It is just what I was wanting...projects and activities ready to go that fit in perfectly with my unit/lesson plans. I have already used several of the activities with my students and am more than pleased with the results. My students are completely engaged and really have fun showcasing their creativity while learning. The Character Apps Project was very out-of-the-box and the Character Report Card also challenged students to analyze deeply. I highly recommend this book for middle school ELA teachers!

So Helpful!
Love the new author's new book! I've owned this for several months now and the activities are great. With everything going on this year (new standards, new evaluation system, etc.) I appreciate the ease of using this book...make your copies and you are ready to go. I've really enjoyed seeing the creativity from these activities. The worksheets designed like smartphones have been a big hit. Schools need more Common Core resources that involve learning in a fun way. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Excellent Resource
This activity book is awesome! I use it on a weekly basis for my reading and writing class. I personally love the newspaper article review exercises as well as the skits for reading/writing. What is awesome about this is that you can copy the pages over and over again for the same class as you are always writing and/or reading something new! It is inexpensive and an awesome way to get your students engaged.

Great
There are loads of great ideas. Overall, it is a very helpful book - particularly as I am new to CSS.

No projects here I wanted to do....
I bought this book and its companion book, Not an Oxymoron: Standards Based Fun, etc. They are designed for the middle school ELA- which is exactly what I teach. Perhaps I am being too tough, but I could not find one project in either book that I want to do. They seem very simple and designed for the first year teacher. On the positive side, it shipped and delivered very quickly.

This is such a great book filled with amazing activities! I love it so much that I just bought the other book by this author and then rushed to put up a review on Amazon. If you teach Middle School Language Arts, buy it!!
