How to Ruin Your Boyfriend's Reputation (How to Ruin a Summer Vacation Novel)

I love all of Simone Elkeles' books but this series is definitely my favorite. . . in fact, after a summer spent reading about 5-6 books a week, I would say that this book is probably my favorite of all of them!Amy is a wonderful Main Character. She is feisty and spunky, but also sensitive and a loyal friend. While it pulls on your heart strings in several places, and makes you swoon in others, my favorite thing about this book is the fact that I start smiling at page one and don't stop until the end - well, with the exception of when I spit coke all over the place from laughing out loud!I really hope Simone decides to continue Amy and Avi's story one day. As much as I love the Fuentes brothers series, and believe me, I love that series and can't wait for the final book to come out, and as much as I love Leaving Paradise, THIS is her true masterpiece I think.

Loved this series - I hope there is more to come!!! Avi is sooo HOT! Whew! When I started this series I expected a sweet teenage love story, this was so much more. Not only is the love story fierce, just the overall background to the story is so interesting & endearing. I'm nowhere near Jewish, but I was so intrigued by the culture, religion and language that were shared throughout the story.

Loved this 3rd installment of the How to Ruin series. I would say trilogy, but I'm hoping Simone will add another some day! I found myself laughing so often while reading this. Amy was hilarious! I enjoyed the inside look at the Israeli army, the chemistry and mishaps between Amy and her unique group of friends, as well as the misunderstandings, chemistry and suspense in Amy and Avi's relationship. Great read!

I like that this series introduces another culture to my 8th grade students who, due to socio-economic conditions, don't have a very broad world view. I always have a waiting list for the three books in this series.

I love love amy that girl is crazy cool always in some sort of trouble and avi ohh my swoonworthy need to go to israel soo and find me one. Recommend this to anyone

I have always loved this book. I wish there was more to it because a continuation would be absolutely amazing.

Another really good book from Simone Elkeles! The last book of this serie was really good. I enjoyed it! Kinda sad its over thought.

Band, aber "How to Ruin Your Boyfriend's Reputation" kann durchaus unterhalten.Amy hat es nicht leicht in Israel: Kein warmes Wasser zum Duschen, Plumpsklo, unbequeme Betten, schlechtes Essen, überall Insekten - "Urlaub" kann man das nicht gerade nennen. Mit ihrer etwas eigenwilligen Art stellt sich Amy den Herausforderungen und bringt einen immer wieder zum Schmunzeln.Eigentlich wollte Amy in Israel doch Spaß haben und sich in ihrer Freizeit mit Avi treffen. Doch gemeinsame Zeit zu zweit alleine ist strikt verboten! Ob das alles eine so gute Idee war? Und ist Avi wirklich nur wegen der Regeln so abweisend zu ihr oder hat sich etwas in ihrer Beziehung verändert? Insgesamt war dieses Buch mit etwas mehr Drama gespickt, aber die Funken und Emotionalität haben mir ein wenig gefehlt.Leider war Amy auch an manchen Stellen etwas sehr egoistisch und weinerlich. Simone Elkeles Schreibstil ist wie immer flüssig und die Zeit vergeht wie im Flug. Das Ende ist ein bißchen offen gehalten. Mir hat's gefallen - aber das ist sicher Geschmackssache.Dieser 3. Band der Ruin-Reihe erscheint am 12.08.2013 unter dem Titel "Kann das auch für immer sein?" auf Deutsch.FAZIT: Der Abschluß der Ruin-Triologie ist natürlich ein Muß, wenn man die beiden Vorgängerbände gelesen hat. Mir hat das Buch besser gefallen als der 2. Band. Am besten war für mich aber immer noch der 1. Band! Aber auch dieses Buch kann wieder mal gut unterhalten. Ich hätte mir den letzten Band vielleicht etwas herzergreifender gewünscht, aber ich war schon froh, dass ich das Buch unterhaltsamer als den 2. Band fand. Insgesamt ein solider Abschluß von Simone Elkeles!

Naja, bin enttäuscht von dieser triologie. Habe die geniale triologie du oder....... Gelesen und war begeistert. Auch living in paradise und back to paradise haben mir gefallen. Ich würde sommerflirt nicht mehr lesen. Die Story ist langweilig und man wartet darauf das irgendetwas großes passiert, aber es geschieht nichts. Ekeles hat ein hohes Maß mit den Vorgängern geschlossen, dem diese Geschichte nicht mal im entferntesten das Wasser reichen kann

i honestly could not put this book down. this book made me angry, laugh made me say WHY, NO, C'MON. I recommend this book to everybody who is a teen at heart. this book made me feel all gigly inside. i love this book and the auther.
