So I had Glycine on a list of supplements to try because I follow some healthy body builder types online. I am not one myself though. At all. I am not even a fit person nor a fitness fanatic at all. I’m older and not svelte currently. (I prefer natural remedies as first line defense when possible.) So I’m not a fitness icon here. But I do follow and read these healthy peoples posts, and they recommended Glycine. (Taurine too even. Plus many others). But I had Glycine on my radar the most.So Glycine has been on my list of supplements to try, but I just wasn’t in a rush since I’m not building muscles.Now I deal with insomnia lately. And I had read somewhere that Glycine could help. This was news to me since I had only associated Glycine with body building and muscles. So then I really wanted to give it a try for sleep issues.And so I ordered this bottle. I don’t have any loyalty to any Glycine brand yet. It was a pretty random brand choice. It’s my first time trying Glycine so it wasn’t easy to choose with the vast variety on amazon. So my brand choice is totally random. Maybe the price and review numbers is why I landed on this brand. I can’t recall. Just had to choose and start somewhere. So I pulled the trigger and just placed an order to try Glycine.So now I take one Glycine in the later evening and then two more Glycine right near and closer to bedtime. And I always get drowsy with the Glycine. Every time. I can fall asleep now and I don’t tend to fight it. The Glycine seems to help with that too. It really does work for me and I’m a deeply ingrained night owl. I prob have a hyperactive brain. I know I used to be like this since I was a baby. A serious Night Owl. My mother said I was always playing in my crib at midnight a lot. Sigh. It’s inherent and nothing I can really do except manage it.If I take the Glycine too early though I I’ll sleep too soon and wake up at like 3-4 am. So I take it closer to 10 pm to get sleepy and to stay asleep longer.Glycine seems to really help me with my insomnia and I take it nightly now. Three is what is mentioned on bottle. And that’s my full dose so far.Since I’m a supplement user I’m already very aware to look for changes and side effects.So with any supplement I always monitor any minute or major changes and any extra side effects. I have none with Glycine. None. Just the good ones I wanted. My experience is just having that desired drowsy effect that I need. It works well for me and is mild in side effects but powerful in what I need it for. No cotton mouth no headaches no weird dreams no hangover head no lingering drowsiness. Just a good drowsy effect upon taking it and then a good sleep and a good wake up. It’s mild in use but powerful too. It has nothing bad about it. It works perfectly to address my insomnia with my overly active brain.I hope this helps everyone who might be looking for a good insomnia and sleep regulator. This does it for me. And I’ve tried many things.

This stuff is worth it's weight in gold. If you are looking to improve your sleep and relaxation, order this. It has made a bigger difference than any supplement I take. I'd give it more stars if I could.

I study biochem so i know a bit about glycine and i had to read a couple of research papers before taking this...first dose: within 45 minutes i felt a wave of relaxation and heaviness, eyes felt heavy too like you are ready to sleep.going into bed looking at my cellphone as i usually do, ,,after a few moments i didnt want to look any more and closed my eyes..i fel asleep soon after... no residual feelings in the morning, didnt wake up midnight.facts we know: Glycine has atleast three benefits.1. brain antioxidant that prevents neurons to be damages by oxidant substances > prevent neural death> slow down cognitive loss> slow down alzeimehrs.2.it works on GABA which is basically the same receptor that Alprazolam( Xanax ,and Ambien) work and reduces stress, and promotes sleep but without the dependency issues with those drugs.3.it also enhances Melatonin secretion which prootes sleep4.it acts on NMDA receptor which through Calcium increases what called a Long-term potentiation which means it increases Cognitive ability and also learning.and all said,, it is a natural protein which we take in much less amounts that whats inside this pill so i am not worried about any sideeffects..any way...studies show that taking Glycine and NAC together can increase the synergistic effect of these two to produce our bodies strongest antioxidant which is Gluthathione... the one we loose when we age,, which allows oxidative damage to slowly take away our healthy cells...and make us age faster.

In my case, it helps with sleep quality but not sleep quantity. I find that it takes 1 hour to kick in.

Oh boy these things work better than melatonin for sleep except you don’t have that weird grogginess you sometimes get with melatonin

I am giving this item five stars because it did not upset my stomach, it did not cause restlessness and it did not keep me up all night. Plus, it is gluten free. BUT I cannot say it helped with my sleep. I am on my second bottle so I valued this item enough to give it a long trial period.

I work overnight and this helps me sleep all day through the light and sounds of life

I couldn't tell that I was taking this at all. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I didn't reorder after finishing this bottle.
