So for the price, I wasn’t expecting the sturdiest heavy duty hardwood and neither should you. It’s a cute bench that looks good but probably isn’t good for two people of any weight to sit on. I don’t expect it to last decades without being sealed a few times - but for what I paid, I’m more than satisfied.The hardware was in a bag (thankfully) and not vacuum packed by the devil himself. Mine came with directions - but there weren’t necessary at all. The build is honestly idiot proof - but you do need a Phillips head and a 14mm wrench. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Took less than 20 minutes to put it together. But it’ll need to be sealed. Likely every year. Or it’ll likely not last long - so go buy yourself some spray poly or varnish or something while you’re at it.

I read a review about applying a sealant to boost longevity with outdoor use. So the photos outside are after applying the spray sealant. Absolutely beautiful bench and super easy to install!!

I was hesitant to but this bench because of the weight capacity as my husband actually wanted a functional bench for both of us. Together we would exceed the weight capacity, but it holds up. I wouldn't go jumping around on it but it does what it should despite being so cheaply made.

Love this bench but some of the wood on is crack.

No directions!! It’s a hit or miss situation & wood very cheap got splinters in fingers. Bad finish, or no finish just stain & spots missing stain, will have to be touched up & some varnish to finish. I’m using it on front porch but what a hassle. It will look ok after we finish it.

On Amazon's website this bench looked very nice.Unfortunately, when I open the box I was disappointed.There were chips on some of the wood, and scratches as well.If I had known that this was made in China I would not have purchased it because my experience is many items that come from China are just not of adequate quality.It's supposed to be an outdoor bench and yet it says in the instructions "not to be left outside unattended" and that it should be covered whenever poor weather is predicted.I'm sorry but that's not my idea of an outdoor bench when you have to worry about it getting wet either from rain or dew. Instructions actually say that if it does get wet you have to wipe it down. I don't know how that's supposed to work if I happen to go away and it rains on it while I'm out of town.If this bench was maybe half as much as it cost then I wouldn't really have been as upset but I don't feel it's worth the price currently advertised on Amazon.

I got the gray and the stained wood also. Have to say I like the gray one better despite the bad reviews on it I ended up getting a good one painted well and looks good for the price :)) very happy with my purchase I give it a five out of five for sturdiness, easy assemble, quality, price, etc.
