Holds strong without flaking
Suavecito has been my go-to gel for years and I don’t plan on switching. It holds my Mexican hair in place all day without flaking, and it gives a clean, polished look that I really like. The consistency is easy to work with, and it washes out without leaving a heavy residue. The only small downside is that it can feel a little greasy if I use too much, but the hold and style it gives are worth it. For the price and performance, it’s the best gel I’ve found.

READ THIS FIRST!
So, in a nutshell, this is one of the best hair products I've ever used. In terms of styling it is absolutely amazing. It gives you a fairly strong hold while not being crusty or hard. You can really restyle your hair by wetting it again. It also doesn't give you that shiny greasy look that most pomades do. The only issue I have with this product it that it is NOT easy to wash out. Or, I should say it wasn't until I figured something out. And it's extremely simple. For anyone having issue or for future buyers there's one thing you need to do to wash this product out with a single shampoo session. When you get your hair wet and lather on your shampoo LEAVE the shampoo in your hair for about 10 minutes. Get it good and soapy on your hair and then move on to the rest of your shower. Clean your body and face and go back to your hair after about 10 minutes of leaving your shampoo on it and I guarantee when you rinse it out the product will be gone. Easy as that. I'm so glad I figured this out because I love this product.

Amazing for hiding damage and extensions
I fell victim to a “blonding specialist” who fried my roots off. As my hair grows out the little hairs stick up. This product is 10/10 for laying my damage down as the new growth comes in and smells so lovely. I appreciate how smooth this product is and doesn’t make my hair greasy. This holds up to workout sweat and humidity.

Strong Hold, Matte Finish — But Tougher to Work With
This Firme Clay Pomade from Suavecito delivers a truly firm, low-shine hold that’s perfect for textured, matte styles. The thick clay texture gives great control and structure, especially for short to medium-length hair. Once it’s fully worked in, the style stays put without looking stiff or overly styled. That said, this isn’t the easiest product to use. The dense consistency makes it harder to emulsify in your hands, and it takes some effort to distribute evenly through the hair. It can feel heavy or greasy if overapplied, and it's definitely more difficult to wash out than some of Suavecito’s other water-based pomades.Another thing I noticed is that the scent isn't as fresh or appealing as their other products—less barbershop-clean and more muted, clay-like. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting if you’re used to Suavecito’s signature fragrances.Still, the performance is there. If you’re after a strong, all-day matte look and don’t mind putting in a bit of work during application and removal, this product delivers reliable results. Just not quite as user-friendly or pleasant-smelling as others in the line.

Awesome stuff!
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Slight shine to it, but mostly matte. High hold and reshapeable. Lasts a long time (longer than a day if you want!) and smells great!

Strong hold but difficult to remove.
This is my least favorite of the Suavecito line. It definitely has the strongest hold but it is the hardest to wash out of my hair. It's surprisingly difficult to even wash it off my hands. I would say it's probably best for special occasions where you need your hair to stay in place but for every day use it's too much of a hassle.

Greasy
I have never had a hair product that left your hair so greasy. Of course the directions say add water to reactivate. I’ve washed my hair 5 times just to get some normalcy to my hair back. Still has product in it. Don’t even get me started on the application of it. The pomade will turn into grease on your hands and you have to scrub to get it off. I should had read more reviews on this. Others have said the same thing. Definitely will not be getting this again.
