Review: Great read - We got the first book of this series (the Sasquatch escape) from school and enjoyed it enough that we bought the lonely lake monster to continue reading. I've been reading aloud to my 6 and 9 year olds and unexpectedly my 4 and 12 year olds have joined in because it's such a fun story. We will be buying the rest of the books in the series. I love when I find something all my kids can enjoy together. It's interesting and exciting enough that they beg for one more chapter after every chapter.

Awesome Series
This is the most amazing series for 8-10 year olds. My 3rd grade students love it and can’t put it down!

He loved it so much
I bought the first book for my 10 year old son. He loved it so much, I ended up buying the rest for him to read. He doesn't typically grab a book and read on his own, but with these books he did. It was a great sight to see. By the end of summer, he had read all 5 books. Great stories! Mysterious and Exciting! I would highly recommend!

Book rating
It's a good book to read, but it's not THAT good for 5 stars. But I recommend that you read it anyway. I like that you made another certificate, I just liked it for some reason.

Great Book & Series!
My children 5 & 9 love this book and the entire Suzanne Selfors Veterinary Series. Last year, our school district picked the first book (The Sasquatch Escape) as the district book- every family gets a copy and all grades kindergarten through 4th grade read the book and incorporate it into school activities. My kids loved it so much we purchased all the books as a Christmas present. Recommend- family friendly that can be read out loud for the entire family to enjoy.

Really really like these characters!
Definitely like this new series and the characters. Love how these two characters interact and are building a solid friendship. They are learning about taking responsibility for their actions and decisions. Quick, simple, entertaining. Great for young readers. Also, it's pointed out they don't have computers or a TV to entertain themselves! Shocked and horrified mine!

My in-laws gave my four-and-a-half-year-old a copy of The Sasquatch Escape, and we started reading it together that very night. He loved it so much, I ordered the next three books, and we're devouring them. These are outstanding chapter books to read aloud with a young child. The characters are well developed, and the plot is linear with few sub-plots, so it's easy to follow without being annoyingly simplistic. The friendship between Pearl and Ben is just lovely, and the shenanigans they get into are neither contrived nor trivial – while in the end it all turns out okay. It's icing on the cake that the author includes instructional information about mythical creatures at the end of each book, along with a cool DIY experiment to try out. I've been RAVING about this series, and intend to read everything else Selfors has written.
