VeeteeDine in Basmati Rice (280g) - Pack of 6 by Veetee

I was really hesitant to buy ready-made rice, especially as we're usually low on fridge space. Imagine my delight at finding out that it is a 'long-life' product which the company assured me should last up to 12 months in the cupboard. I bought one at the supermarket to do a taste test before buying it in quantity on Amazon and it was really good! The only caveat was that I prefer my rice a bit more moist, but the addition of a tablespoon of water makes it perfect, just peel back the film, add water (if that's your preference), and two minutes in the microwave - lovely fluffy rice and no messy saucepans! This is especially nice for me as it's much easier for my OH (the cook in our family) to make rice just for me -- result!! So I've now bought my first 'six-pack' and am trying some of Veetee's other flavours, yum ;-)

This rice is quite simply the best you can buy if you are not ordering from a restaurant!The rice takes only 2 mins to cook in the microwave which is very convenient for me and once ready is soft and fluffy, perfect to go with anything from curries to chilli to stroganoff! Much much tastier than boil in the bag or the uncle bens rice pouches.The price is excellent on Amazon and equated to less than £1 per tub which is cheaper than the supermarket unless there is a special offer!A food cupboard essential...stock up now!

Love this rice but it’s gettng harder to find in supermarkets near me so was pleased to find it on Amazon. It turns out perfectly every time, I tend to microwave it for 3 mins rather than the 2 started. It’s so handy for making a paella stir fry main dish or as a side too. Each pack serves 2 as its very tightly packed into these punnets.

I am torn between this and Tilda Brown Whole Grain Rice! Both are perfect, so it depends on the dish or my mood.Here, I get two generous portions per pack. With Curry, Chicken Soup or Buffalo Wings, yum! Two minutes in MicroWave, no washing up, @ less than 50p a portion, especially when bought on S&S its silly not to have in store cupboard.

This is very lovely rice - perfect for two people to accompany a meal. It's a better price than some competitors so that's why we chose it - the fact we don't hurt our hands on the steam coming out the microwavable bags is a plus as the dish and cover stays cooler than the bags do.All in all my newest favourite rice.
