Great product - 100% pleased
Rowenta's ZD-110 iron soleplate cleaner actually worked on my incredibly gunked up iron. Before I ordered this product we had tried pretty much everything we had in the house including gasoline which usually works on most things but lately has been failing (maybe it is the ethanol in it). Anyway - it took several rounds of squeezing small blobs of the product on the white towel that came in the package, ironing in circular motions over it, and squeezing another blob on a different part of the towel. Each time I turned the iron to see the results and it was getting better and better. In the end it was more of a question of aiming the gunky part of the iron correctly on the blob. Total time maybe 15 minutes. And, thanks for another reviewer for suggesting to use oven mitt when using the green towel for final cleaning. Remember to completely empty the water from the iron. We have an iron with a separate steamer base and it took a while even after emptying the tank to get the water out of the "pipes" pressing the steamer button. Even if the price seems high for such a small tube it is well worth it compared to buying a new iron. (btw - this ZD-110 is presumably the toxic version - I specifically ordered it rather than the one advertised as non-toxic because I believe some of these non-toxic substitutes just don't do the job).

Really works!
After following the directions and comments in some reviews, this product removed every stain on the sole plate after 2 applications of the cream. Looks brand new.

Rowenta ZD110 Non-Toxic Stainless Steel Soleplate Cleaner Kit
An okay cleaner. Have to use a lot of "elbow grease" to clean an iron.

I Like This One
It does remove the burnt iron stain with ease. Make sure you have something between the iron board pad and the cloth you are using to remove the burnt iron stain.

Literally saved me from buying a new iron!
I used a wool ironing mat which left a black gummy residue on my expensive Rowenta iron. I had tried other cleaners that didn't even touch the black goo. This product worked miracles! It took several applications, but the end result was amazing and better than I had even hoped for! I even have some left for another time.

Great to clean the solepate with but don't wash the contained colored cloth with your regular laundry
It works! My wife ironed my pants at too high a temperature and the iron's soleplate was coated with something (melted material from the synthetic component of my pants?) that caused it to no longer move smoothly over a surface. I used the cleaner kit and had success at returning the soleplate to its original state (my pants were the second item that the brand new iron was used upon.) NOTE: the contained colored [green] cloth (used to wipe-clean the soleplate of the applied cleaner) is supposed to be washable but you should do so in a load in which its bleeding/leaching color won't be an issue (if I had known this, I would have laundered it in hot water with my jeans; unfortunately it was washed in a [cold water] load that contained whites that thereafter showed the acquisition of a green tint.)

Overpriced for what you get
Got to be honest here, this was WAY overpriced for a sponge, rag, and tiny tube of cleaner. I have not had a chance to use it yet but am not happy at all for such a miniaturized tube. I will give an update on my review when I actually try the product in the tiny tube.
