DEWALT FLEXVOLT 60V MAX* Cut-Off Saw Kit, 9-Inch (DCS690X2)

Love the cut power of a smaller saw. Remember this is only battery powered, by FLexvolt batteries, yes, but still a battery non the less. Don't expect a gas powered cutting power, or longevity.This is a great addition to gas saws, also a better option to a grinder as it cuts 2xs faster than the grinder.Water feature is gret too. Low dust. Blades are really good (been a mason for 30 years, many blades and saws have passed my hands).I ordered another one after trying this one out for a month.

I needed to cut out a concrete floor for a new bath installation in the basement. I had an old 10" cutoff saw I have used in the past. I needed something with better control of the saw and of the mess. This saw worked fantastic. Still had cleaned up but I was able manage the mess much easier.

I'm using this saw to cut slabs of very hard, very abrasive schist flagstone for a patio and steps, and I've used it almost daily for the past 2 weeks. The DeWalt DCS690 is a huge improvement over my old stone cutter saws which had been a succession of 5" cord-powered saws that were much less user-friendly. I burnt out a number of the smaller 5" saws over a several year period working on landscaping rock. The DeWalt is more powerful, has less noise and vibration and a better water jet system for controlling dust. I particularly like the location of the water jets near the top of blade instead of at the lower back of the saw, as I get much less wet from the spray while it still does a very good job of dust avoidance. The battery-powered DCS690 is much quieter than my old saws - this seems to be due at least in part to the blade design, not just the sound of the motor. This saw has plenty of power, and the over-load indicator light seems to be useful (tho' i'm still getting used to it to try to optimize performance). On the subject of power, this is my my only criticism: if i had it to do over again i would have bought the 12 AH batteries instead of the 9 AH - this saw does go thru batteries pretty quick. Also very notable, this saw is smooth-running, there is very little vibration so I'm less fatigued at the end of the day. A great tool overall.

Works great, easy to change between blades, cuts CC or Steal with ease. Placing the blade changing wrench inside the battery compartment was a smart addition. I love the no dust, no cord, grab and cut ability this saw provides me. I'm ecstatic I did't buy a corded CC saw or another diamond blade for my circular saw; seeing people doing this in a cloud of dust...it's just not healthy.I would have 5 star rated it if it came with a case. A case is a must for any tool to last.

This tool is a must have for anyone out in the field

This saw is absolutely amazing considering the lightweight. Could not be better for a brick layer laying brick or cmu. Batteries could last a little longer but overcame that by buying an additional 2 batteries. Well worth the money. Did my due diligence and found out that stiel's guard does not move and this one does

I love this saw ; it is great addition to my concrete business! It is not a replacement for a gas quickie saw , but it gets used daily for putting control cuts in concrete and cutting rebar. Now you can also purchase 9 inch diamond blades on Amazon, that fit this saw at half the price of a dewalt blade. Had it over a year; going to buy another one!

Cuts regular slabs easily, it was easy to use starts right up and lasted for the tasks we needed. Depth is 31/4" as stated and worked well.
