Let me start by saying that this is way too expensive for what you get. My Yamaha OEM F150 cover cost a fraction of this price and is way better quality and fit. But, this cover is the only game in town for my 2018 Mercury 9.9, so you have no choice other than to make it yourself or have it made.Fitment. The fit on this cover is awfully bad. I mean, wow. I wasnt expecting Yamaha fitment (which is top notch), but sheesh. This is a horrible fit.Materials. The materials seem good enough. The outer material (polyester or a poly blend) seams up to the task. Time will tell. The inner layer is soft, though does not offer as much cushion as Yamaha covers. There is a zipper of good quality. The hook and loop and associated strap seem to be decent enough quality. Overall, the materials are fine.Trailerability. It is doubtful this will work. The fitment is horrible. This means it will blow up like a balloon at speed. Also, the only real securing is hook and loop. It needed to be a buckle. Definitely a try at your own risk deal. Do not expect this to stay on the highway.Outside storage. Again, because the fitment is so bad, this is not ideal. Bugs, lizards, roaches, etc., will love the new home you are providing them. Huge amount of free space underneath for them to nest and congregate. Also, humidity will likely be a problem.Inside storage. Fitment sucks, but this will probably be fine inside a garage. A towel also works inside the garage, so there is that.Final thought. You have no choice if you want something that is pre-made. I really didnt want to have to make my own on this, but I guess I will have to break out my sewing machine and make this cover fit right. For this price, this is unbelievably bad fitment. This is why you cannot find pictures of this product anywhere. No one wants you to see just how terrible this cover looks. I am seriously thinking to cut it apart and make it up right. I will likely get rid of that nonsensical zipper, elastic section, and the hook and loop. This thing needs to fit tight and be secured with a buckle. I would not buy this again. Would have been cheaper and easier to just buy the materials and make myself from scratch.

Fit good but wouldn’t trailer boat with it on.

I have a 40 hp merc. I like this cover but buyer beware. This product didn’t fit as shown because it allowed no relief for the fwd fittings causing the cover to ride up. Cinched as tight as I could get it I’m not real sure it will survive a wind storm, ie. blow off.

Son bought for his Bass Tracker 60HP 2 stoke. It fits, but is a little loose, but still looks good. Seems to be well made, but will have to see about durability, price seems high, but it does have the name on it, which increases the price.

The quality of the product is good, but all the pictures for this is only for the Verado models and up which cover almost 2/3's of the motor. I have a 50HP Merc and was hoping to cover a little more of the unit than just the cover, but that's all you get with the lower outboard engines (40 to 60HP). The same cover, without the Merc logo would have been a 10th of the cost. Basically, you're paying up for the brand name on the cover.

Been on for 3yrs now so far so good does what it’s supposed to it’s always on when trailering just use common sense and make sure it’s on tight and it’ll serve you like its sopost too.

This cover is nice but fits a little loose on my 2013 9.9HP ProKicker. It seems to be made very well and should hold up to the elements without any problems.

Looks nice on the motor. It could be a bit longer for the price it was.I hope I do not have a problem with it blowing off from wind resistance.

I am very pleased! The cover is quite thick and fits snuggly but has abit of play. Not tight like OJ’s gloves. If you have a 20 hp four stroke (or 15hp same cowling size) then you will be happy with purchasing this cover.

Well made and fits snugly with little to complain about ... except the price, which is why I couldn't give it 5 stars. I would buy again - reluctantly.
