I love the convenience of wearing a magnifying glass when trying to read nutrition facts, expiration dates, or product ingredients on food. It is worth noting that the lens does scratch easily (I scratched it the very first time I wore it). Apart from that, I do feel it’s worth the price paid for its functionality.

Dainty and useful

This magnifying glass pendent is the best for anyone who repeatedly needs to take a quick look at something too small to read. I use it about every 5 minutes for only a few seconds. because it is on a chain around my neck it is so much handier than a magnifying lens. I gave it only 3 stars for sturdiness because the pendant, even though is glass and scratches in time, lasts far longer than the chain. you will need to invest in a lanyard.

I bought this as well as a more expensive and ornate model from another manfacturer and seller. The other magnifier is prettier, sure. But at just under $5.00, this is a great bargain and seems to be a bit more clear and is very lightweight. It also hasn't gotten scratched up despite bumping against my jewelry or laying on the table. The color of the metal hasn't changed at all either, even though the magnifying glass is often up against my skin, as I tuck it in the top of my bra to avoid it catching on things when I am cleaning or similarly active, and I have left it there for hours. I recommend it, as it comes in so handy, works super well, takes a fair bit of abuse, and is very inexpensive.

I hate having to fumble for reading glasses if I just want to quickly read a label on a bottle in the store, and things like that. Having this lightweight magnifying glass always close at hand hanging as a necklace is very convenient and helpful every single day. I like that it is very lightweight and comfortable to wear. I've found that some of the more decorative magnifying necklaces I've tried really were too heavy to be comfortable for me. I've also found, with others, the metallic finish would fairly quickly wear off from constant friction against clothing. This one retains the finish very well. I like that the lens is glass (not plastic) and seems fairly scratch resistant when being worn. Now the drawbacks... the lens frame is in fact made of silver colored plastic. I've had the chain actually wear through the loop it goes through after only a few months of wearing it. The chain is flimsy, and it broke when I was leaning forward and the pendant caught on something as I stood up again. That being said, I do continue to purchase new ones when needed, because as I've mentioned I just haven't found others comfortable enough to wear. The lens is a good quality and provides nice magnification, but the frame that holds the lens wears out quickly, and chain is flimsy. But, I put up with this and repeat buy because the price is so low, it really does help well with magnification, and is very comfortable to wear. If you're not going to be wearing it 24/7 as I do, likely it'll be perfectly fine for a longer amount of time.

I got this and did not even use it once..the chain is so flimsy..it just broke within an hour or so after I got it..and I barely touched it ...I'm so disappointed..it looked good on the Amazon website though...giving it 1 start coz it looked good..but truly deserved a -2 star...😟

This is lovely and so useful. A great, well priced gift. It's not just a good item for older people. All my life I have used simple microscopes, telescopes, binoculars; handheld, pendant, pocket magnifying glasses to see small hidden treasures of the world or to read frayed or very fine print. Now getting older, I don't want to squint thru my glasses when print is too small or just not clear. A simple thing like removing a splinter makes this worth the purchase.

So simple. Great way to shop, do, live when you need reading glasses. I wear it as jewelry now and every one makes a comment about it. Saying how cute or where did you get that ?? I have 2 now. One for the car and one for my purse. Highly recommended
