Eventually your original will break in two so be more cautious with it if you like the DOVO as much as me.Also with time the grooves holding your blade in will wear and it’ll slide a bit.Glad there is a replacement option(Comes in black, don’t be surprised)👌

DOVO transitioned from a red plastic to a clear one a while back. The product is the same and will work the same other than the change of color

I used the same dovo insert that came with the shaver for years before it wore down in the center and snapped. This one (it was black btw) split after only 4 work days (under 10 uses per day). I will be pursuing either a replacement or a refund, this is crazy. I’d give 0 stars if it were possible.

Ok for one I ordered the red and got transparent which can be hard to see the silver blade sometimes. I use it to shave my face and line up beard and mustache. When closed and blade inserted there is a tab on the bottom opposite of the Hing side the it too long. Its longer than the exposed blade. I cut the tab to be even with the bottom of the blade and now works as good as the original red holder.

The old one has crapped out and this one looks like it will work fine for another couple of years but give me a break, it is after all, a very small simple piece of plastic. I'm guessing it costs about two cents to manufacture if that. Basically, it's a rip-off but what's the alternative? Pay the toll and go on. When this one wears out I will do it again, it beats the hell out of track razors and I can't keep an edge on my genuine straight razor.

Made different than ones I've had in the past. The original one I had last years, this one was junk. The price doesn't justify it one bit. Awful, Awful product.

The holder works perfectly, the only problem is that it doesn’t matter which color you choose (I wanted and selected the Red one), you will get a transparent one... which, kinda, sucksOther reviewer mentioned that DOVO transitioned to clear holders a while back, and he’s right, they work just as well. My issue is that, perhaps, they shouldn’t offer the freaking red guard as an option then... just a thought

I love my dovo Shavette but these plastic inserts are absolutely trash. Mine first ine broke in a matter of a couple months and is now a pain. So I ordered a new one and it arrived broken in the package. Quality absolute quality.
