It works here and there but it just smelled like Apples and stinky feet. If the shoes are fairly new and don't have much of a smell it will help prevent any increasing bad smells. If the shoe is already stinky this will cover the smell briefly but long term it becomes Apples/stinky feet. Wash the shoes first then try it and it works perfectly.

WOW! This stuff is AWESOME!!! I have 2 boys who play both soccer and baseball, and the first thing they want to do after running around for several hours out on the field is take off their cleats and put on their slides. But their cleats smelled so bad that I couldn't even stick them in the trunk without smelling them! We had to throw them into plastic bags in the trunk and tie off the bags in order to not smell them!So we decided to give SJ4 a shot to see what it could do and I gotta tell you it does the trick! Just a couple of spritzes into each shoe after they take them off and you can't even tell that they just played a double overtime game on the turf in 90 degree weather!It's worked so well that I now keep the bottle in the trunk of the car so it's ready to go as we pack up and leave the field. What I'll probably end up doing is throwing a bottle into each of their sports bags so that they can just spray their cleats and throw them right into their bags so they're ready to go for the next event.Sneaker Jesus would have really come in handy back when I had my SUV instead of the sedan that I have now since the back of the SUV was open to the passenger compartment, and even with their cleats in their bags the inside of the SUV smelled like the inside of a locker room.Although I haven't specifically tried this myself since my boys don't play either hockey or football, I'm guessing SJ4 would be good for hockey and football pads as well. Kind of has that new car smell but no complaints up until now. So far I've used it on several pairs of boat shoes and it's worked each time so I'm happy with the product.
