Is the body and side adjustment plate with knob metal or plastic?

Plastic, been using regularly for several years and does a great job. The s.s. roller wheels will build up some bottom wax ( if you hot wax your own frequently) but easy to clean off. I use diamond files mostly, unless there’s severe edge damage.
