Best compressed wood furniture product ever. Feels real, all surfaces paneled or painted.
Easy to put together.Would recommend help with the door.By far this product is better than most things I've put together. The back has a supporting cross board in the middle that adds to stability before you put anything else together. The back panel is much thicker than usual, more sturdy, double-sided paned, instead of corkboard on one side. The back side of this furniture is displayable. The back panel.... get this.... slides in. It has groves in all four adjoining surfaces (bottom sides and top). The glass is held in by pivoting bumpers like a photo frame, so it can be removed and cleaned. The door hinges can be adjusted to be flush to the front and sides (the parts of the hinge can be loosened and slide back and forth to this effect), but I didn't have to. It was flush on the first try.All screw holes were predrilled, in the right place, and right thickness and depth.Every part of this piece is well made, effort was made to make it long lasting with parts easy to adjust, and all surfaces are covered. No exposed edges of compressed wood when you remove the shelves.Instead of screwing it to the wall, I opted to put furniture bumpers on the back, and use the included sample cover panels under the front to have it rest against the back wall. The only downside is that due to the weight of the wood and glass, and empty piece will fall over with the doors open, while placed on carpet.

Satisfied and an upgrade from my previous case
Overall, I'm fairly pleased with this DVD/Blu-Ray case. The box showed up in pretty rough shape, but luckily, the actual product was inside other another box inside and was undamaged.Assembly was fairly simple. The instructions could be a little more detailed, but I was able to figure it out pretty easily. I wasn't missing any parts or hardware, thankfully. During installation, I never had an instance where a pre-drilled hole was either off or non-existent. The instructions recommended two people, but I was able to assemble it on my own.Observations:* If this is on carpet, it is not very stable while empty. If I opened both doors, it would fall forward. Hardware is included to anchor the case to the wall, but once I filled the case with all of my media, it was sufficiently weighed down and I haven't felt the need to anchor it to the wall.* The tabs that pop in for mounting the shelving can be difficult to remove once they're pushed in all the way. I used a set of locking pliers to pull them out.* If you're using this solely for DVDs or Blu-Ray, you'll likely have an extra shelf or two. If you're storing CDs, there are enough shelves included to maximize the amount of storage. Any shelves that you don't use are exactly the right size to fit underneath the base of the case. Out of sight and no need to find storage in a closet or storage room.* Due to the way the doors hang, if you were to pack a shelf tightly/completely full, you would not be able to pull out the DVD on either edge of that shelf. The door edge would block it.Overall, I'm happy with the product. I wish I had gotten one that was slightly larger, but that's no knock on the product.

Sturdy and looks great
This arrived quickly and was packaged well, so nothing was broken, not even the two glass panels. It's solid wood with veneer facings, but you can hardly tell, it looks so real. The back panel is not solid wood, but it's thicker than the thin ones that Sauder products usually have. It just slides in some slots. I got Walnut and it's a very nice medium dark color. I'm glad I didn't get the Cherry, because a small piece of veneer was used in the packaging and it looks very pinkish and fake. I was able to put over 170 DVDs in it, and some of them were double sized and a few were box sets, so I'm sure it can hold the 185 it claims it will hold. It's pretty heavy by itself and after we put the DVDs in, we didn't need to anchor it to the wall. But of course, if we had small children who could pull it over on themselves, we'd anchor it. I've already ordered another one for the rest of of my DVDs.

Never again
This is my first Amazon review. It's a nicer cabinet than I was expecting for the money. The directions are pictures, with some very brief annotations in English. Somewhat opaque, but not impenetrable. My first major complaint is that for a klutz like me, screwing around with tiny wood screws is very challenging. I know the basic principles, like tighten nothing until everything is started. I'm no Stakhanovite on home projects, but this was the most difficult ever for me in 35 years of home ownership. My second major complaint is that the product ships with 0 extra screws, pegs, and so on. Probably beefs up Leslie Dame profits by millions of dollars per year (sarcasm). Possibly they shipped mine 2 shelf pegs short. Or maybe I fumbled 2 pegs onto my gray carpet. Either way, the assembly hassle goes on and on. Never again.

It holds my video games.
So wanted a case for just my Xbox games keep them separate from my PlayStation and other games I have. It holds them all looks great have a couple complaints first if your not putting a lot of stuff in there be careful especially if you have kids idk if it’s because I have hard wood floors but before I started putting my games in it would tip forward really easy and strangely it didn’t come with a wall anchor but once I filled it up it has become more stable. The only other complaint I have it the top and bottom shelf’s with the hinges you can’t really fill them up with dvds the hinges are very bulky wish they could of used flat hinges but other then that just love it looks great and does what it supposed to do.
