Marinebaby 4-Step Pontoon Boat Ladder, 316 Stainless Steel Folding Telescoping Inboard Ladder with Hand Railing and Extra Wide Steps

My wife is older and had issues getting in and out of the water on our 41 ft Hatteras swim platform. This one is heavy duty, beautiful and easy to assemble and install. She can get in and out easily now. The ladder is longer than normal boat ladders, but it collapses into a short ladder to store out of the water. Perfect. No complaints from us.

This ladder comes nearly fully assembled, just two bolts to fasten. I used stainless steel through-bolts without backing plates, but pretty large stainless washers instead. It's now been 7 months of heavy use in salt water. Must be high quality stainless, since there's very little corrosion, and everything is as solid as day 1. Sorry that I didn't clean up before the photo, but you can see where the original ladder was mounted. It was a two step flip down ladder with teak steps. Looked great but was unusable for climbing out of the water because it didn't extend down far enough, and there was nothing to grab onto as well. Also it was a tripping hazard in the way that it laid down on the swim platform.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This product is made exactly as described! Great quality. Word of advice... Install as indicated with the right and left handles. It won't install properly if you switch sides. My Bad! Love it!!!!

While this a very nice ladder, we have to send it back. Nice packaging, good construction, easy to install, and easy folding. It telescopes easily and folds up nice. Unfortunately it is too short. The bottom step is 2” above the water. We will have to find a ladder that will be closer to 60” from deck down. Probably a 5 or 6 step ladder. I prefer the folding or retractable so it doesn’t get slimy on the bottom rungs.

I am very impressed by the quality of this ladder. The grab rails have a nice diameter, making it comfortable and reassuring, the ladder itself is impressively sturdy and feels very solid. Installation was a breeze, with all the hardware supplied. No extra run to the hardware store necessary… I highly recommend it for midsize boats. Mine is a 28’ Pursuit.

This product is a well thought out design that is sturdy enough to handle an adult yet folds up neatly onto the dock. This is the second one we bought, and I would buy a third if I had a third floating home.

Exactly the right thing for getting in the pool and getting out of the way until we're ready to get out. I have a salt water pool and it's doing great, no rusting.

Not hard to figure out how to install this, but absolutely no instructions or information in the package. Seems sturdy enough after mounting to the deck , but I’m worried about the ladder portion. When extended, there is a lot of play and my concern is any weight over 150 pounds will bend the telescoping parts of the ladder. Haven’t had it in the water yet, so just concerned for now. We will see.

I was more than pleased with this ladder. It looks very impressive on our boat! It is sturdy and strong. Easy to install. I would definitely recommend it to others.

This is the second time a reviewed this product/supplier. The first review was very negative. I did not receive all the parts and had trouble connecting with Leonsel. After some help from Amazon, Leonsel has been very helpful--although it has taken many weeks to resolve the matter. It's too bad. The product was very good, just incomplete and apparently no longer available.
