They work for me so I've bought more from the same seller.
I've bought a few of these drives in different capacities. I lost one smaller drive years ago due to heat, but none have failed since removing the front cover of the enclosure to get better airflow. I've never lost any DATA. They've been very reliable in 4 drive RAID 5 arrays. Recently swapped four 4TB drives for four 8TB, and still use the 4 TB drives but for backing up files but now they are mounted in my PC.

Working great
Had this for a year now. It's a little noisy, so I placed it (in external case) on a foam pad, and that helped a lot. Performance is good, and I have no complaints.

Customer service is outstanding!
Customer service is outstanding! Product arrived quickly, but wouldn't initialize; was issued a return number and postage paid return label. The replacement drive arrived quickly and I had some issues getting it to initialize and format properly. A quick message to the vendor provided 3 steps that I could try to remedy the situation. The first 2 steps worked flawlessly and the drive is working perfectly. Very impressed with the customer service. Will buy again when the opportunity arises.

Drive Failed after three days. seller denies it came from them
Ordered two of these, after about 3 days one drive failed and was making a banging noise. Contacted the seller and they denied that the drive came from them based on the serial number on the drive. I sent them the order number and they stopped responding. I have not purchased this brand of HDD before so I know that it came from them. I ended up having to file a claim with amazon and amex to get my money refunded. Lets hope the other one does not fail!Update - the second drive failed. I never got the refund for the first drive because per Amazon, the refund comes from the seller and they chose not to refund it. Amex said the seller is claiming the drives returned did not match any serial numbers they sold. I also find it suspicious that in the box there was a card saying “we track all drive serial numbers if you have issues contact us”

Excellent value - with a little risk
These drives offer excellent value, providing enterprise-level performance with 50,000 to 60,000 hours of use at a very reasonable price. Despite their long expected lifespan, there is some inherent risk in purchasing used drives. I ordered two drives, and while one failed a self-test, the seller promptly replaced the defective unit. Overall, I believe this is a tremendous value, but buyers should be prepared for the possibility of receiving a less-than-perfect drive.

Great huge used IT SERVER Drive
Used IT server grade drive 8TB drive. HGST is the old IBM people who were bought ~2004. Low usage and treated well. This is a scratch pad drive I use for moving mass files around. I went 2x 12 TB used for mirrored RAID for my forever data. Price is up 50% from low. SERVER drives are locked inside a rack in Temp controlled lab and NOT seeking or power Up/Dn are a good bet. When money isn't tight they get replace just because 4 yrs old or a drive with 50% more size is available. HGST/Seagate provide >85% or more server drives. I've lost track #3 drive from ASIA

Good buy. Still working fine after a year and a half of constant use.
I've had four of these in a four-bay NAS for a year and a half. They arrived well packed and worked as expected. Thanks.

Good Capacity at a Reasonable Price
Was detected by my build right away and it formatted perfectly. Has good capacity for a little-used, backup drive.
