Stansport Tatami Straw Ground Mat 60" L x 78" W

This is a perfect beach mat. It's lightweight, but heavy enough to hold up to a windy day. We took this, and a similar mat from Target with us on our last beach trip, and this one was a breeze to lay out and secure while the other flapped in the wind, folded, and was generally a pain to use. This one is durable as well, holding up to repeated use and sharp kitty claws. Sand slips right through so you're not left laying in a gritty mess. It's also pretty huge. It'll easily fit two adult, and probably kids as well. When folded, it has a nice pouch big enough to hold a small portable fan, or whatever other essentials you might choose to pack, and it also has a handle for carrying.

I used this as a door mat for our 10 person tent. It worked great for this purpose and was easy to sweep clean. It is a good size and folds up nicely. It forms it's own carrying case when folded up and that part (handles, pocket, velcro) seems pretty cheap and I don't expect it to hold up too well. That's ok, because the mat itself seems well made and sturdy to last a while.

Layered with another larger mat on the front porch. Works perfectly for winter wet weather as it dries faster than other traditional front porch mats. Just wish it was more red than orange.

We used it for inside our tent to cushion floor, love its fold ability and the handles .

This mat is not the greatest quality but if handled carefully and used on flat surfaces could possibly get some life out of this. Folding up and unfolding seemed like a slight task as if not careful the seams can get pulled out. The fabric is not fabric at all but more like a plastic. This mat was really affordable and not bad if handled with care. I used it as an entry way to our camp tent and was on a flat surface. It was very easy to clean as all dirt and dust washed off with light water from a hose. I wouldn't recommend using this mat on uneven surfaces or sand like a beach. Overall it worked for what I needed it for and still have it ready for my next camping trip or outdoor adventure.

I had a mat made of the same material before, but my sister stole it. So I wanted another one. Didn't know this brand so wasn't sure how good the quality would be. I've used it only once and it seems to hold up fine. I like the synthetic straw because it is water resistant, and, therefore, easy care (real straw will break and mildew more easily if not taken care of). It's not waterproof, since the straw is woven together, not one solid piece of plastic. But I knew this and is fine with this. From past experience, the woven structure also means that if I use it on a sandy ground, the sand that gets on the surface will fall through, leaving the mat comfortable to step on without getting sand allo ver my feet. Used it on a dewy park lawn, but once the sun came out, the dewy grass underneath dried out. Nice, big size. Bigger than most fold-up picnic mats.

Purchased used from Amazon Resale (will I ever learn?). Stitching was sketchy from the get go. Used twice (maybe three times?) as a simple beach mat. Cloth edges separated from plastic “tatami” and mat literally tore to pieces the next time it was unfolded. There is no such thing as a good deal on a used product sold on Amazon. Especially if it’s being sold *by* Amazon.

I bought this for outside our tent for camping. Cleans up easily with a broom and is perfect for outdoors.
