This 19/120 is very different from the 16/100 I've been using. The size of the stitching is significant. It's the expected quality from Schmetz, they don't get any better.Be sure and select a decorative stitch that has an open design and one in which the needle passes the same hole twice. You also get a much cleaner design with embroidery thread and won't get as much puckering if you use embroidery stabilizer under the fabric.If you're only getting one hemstitch needle and you're not planning to use it on extra heavy fabric, get the 16/100 first. This image is two rows on a rather light 100% cotton weave apron.

This is a good needle, but only gets 3 stars because it only comes one to a package. Even a two pack would be preferable. Three in a pack would be even better.
