Incredibly beefy combination lock.
This this is a very sturdy lock, and locks up a shed, it is the most robust part on the shed.I would caution anyone looking at this to make sure that their application has enough space for the very thick shackle. What I’m using it on is robust and designed for a beefy lock and it just barely is large enough to accommodate. Also, the size of the shielding around the lock makes the lock not sit flat against The building. I don't mind it being tilted up at a 45° angle, but I could see some situations in which it wouldn’t work. If you’re going to use this on a bike, make sure that you have a sturdy enough chain to mount it to if you put this on a traditional chain, you’re not doing yourself any favors as it’s easier to just cut the chain than it is to cut this lock

Excellent High Security Lock
This is a very heavy-duty high security lock. On-line videos show that this lock is difficult to defeat. Easy to set the combination with security features that prevent picking the key hole that is used to set the combination.

All show and no go
This lock started off strong and working properly. At first my only gripes were that the combination was difficult to manipulate and the requirement to push the shackle deep made it difficult to use a heavy gauge chain.About a month ago it became incredibly difficult to open and close the shackle so I hit it with some WD-40 which helped a little. The relief has been temporary but I tolerated it due to the perceived strength of the lock. That all changed yesterday. After less than a year of service, the lock slipped out of my hands, again, fighting to push the shackle in place. It hit the concrete and the shackle guard cracked open.If you look at the pictures you can see the inner material, which looks nothing like solid steel. I'm not sure exactly what this is made of but I expect more out of a $50+ lock.Abus needs to be reminded that they are not in the business of locks, they are in the business of piece of mind. Since I have no confidence in the quality of the product. It is useless to me and I do not recommend it to anyone who wants a heavy gauge lock and the peace of mind that comes with.

By Far the Best LARGER SIZED Combination Lock I Found
This lock was exactly what I wanted and I couldn't be more pleased. This lock is larger than your standard padlock. You couldn't use it on a gym locker or anything similar to that. It isn't outrageously bigger either. I am using it to padlock a chain around a horse fence entrance to some property. I went to Lowes and it fit on an extremely large diameter chain - might have been the largest chain they had. If somebody is intent on getting in with bolt cutters, they are going to get in. This lock appears that it's going to take a lot of work if you want to get through it and getting the largest possible chain sends the same message. Between the chain and this heavy duty lock, they'll have to replace their bolt cutters when they get done. Setting the combination using the provided key couldn't have been easier. Some reviews about the dial being harder to read and spin than it could have been are accurate, but it really isn't a big deal. I won't be accessing this property daily, so for my purposes, it doesn't matter and it still wouldn't be a concern if I did use it daily. I never had any trouble dialing in the combination and opening with dozens of tries. I just purchased the item and started using it, so I cannot comment on it's long-term performance. This lock (just by it's looks alone) is worth the expense.

The only combination padlock recommended by LPL partner Bosnian Bill
I believe this is literally the only combination padlock extant in the world which has been recommended by multiple respected locksmiths including the Lockpicking Lawyer's partner Bosnian Bill. It's actually quite reasonably priced considering high security key padlocks typically run $100 and more. They addressed all of the major combination lock attack vectors, including wheel decoding shims, pressure-based decoding, shims into the body, shims into the shackle, a high shackle guard to resist bolt cutting and angle grinders, reset keyhole visual attacks, and general physical attacks. It's really quite a bargain considering the engineering and construction gone into it. If someone knows of any other combination lock which can withstand all of these attacks, please do post a review here so the we can find it.My only wish is that they made a version with a smaller shackle that could be used on a wider range of applications but the simple work around is to use lockout shackle adapters. It does make it quite a bit larger and you'll need to customize the lockout shackle adapter a bit to accommodate this massive shackle. Hey Abus, since you've already figured out how to make un-decodable padlocks, can you extend the line and make some smaller shackle versions?I guess another wish list item would be to add a fifth code wheel so that it could be rated as a level 10 lock.

So good, I bought two
My son bought this brand of padlock for his shipping container. I liked it so much that I bought two more for my shipping container. Very sturdy and well built

Abus padlock. Best. Oneflaw
I own three of these locks. They are as sturdy as advertised. Only drawback is that they rust if left outside too much. Still worked. Otherwise great.
