More like flexible plastic than rubber. Mine came delivered folded and now has a permanent crease that blocks the latch. Feels cheap and slides a bit but does protect carpet... wish I would’ve spent a little more on a quality.

Might be a little thin but I don't plan on caring anything heavy just wanted it for water protection
