I could probably hang off it and it'd still keep things tight. Forget muscles, this clamp's got the strength! I've done a lot of woodworking (advanced hobbyist) for the last 50 years. I've always found my Bessey clamps to be top of the line and these parallel K body clamps are no exception. I've tried my favorite woodworking store's knock-off versions on occasion to save some $$ and generally found they just don't measure up. The Besseys stay aligned and clamp down with the kind of force I need when gluing up a table top. I used these 40 inch clamps to glue up the leg assemblies for a new workbench I just built. They were just what I needed and they worked as expected.I happily recommend these clamps to you if you're looking for top notch K body clamps.

these are great clamps. i like how they stand up by themselves, making assembly easier.

A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. I ordered four of these at the same time, 3 came on one day and 1 came 2 days later. All four seem to be in good condition.

Great clamps. Initially, sticker-shock paralyzed my Amazon "Buy it now" trigger-finger, but rationality prevailed. It's been some time since I have purchased clamps; I bought good clamps the first time around and they served me well for a very long time. Clamps have evolved in the intervening years, and these are a welcome addition to my shop. I have 1 pair of clamps I like better, and those are from my grandfathers workshop and are likely from the 1930's...If these Bessey's last half as long as my grandfather's clamps, It won't be me using them : )

Missing plastic black cover part..not happy!

I love the design and functionality of this product. I just wish the metal wasn’t so reactive to wood glue. DO NOT GET GLUE ON THE METAL BAR. I made the mistake of allowing wood glue(Tightbond II) to dry on the bar and it was extremely difficult to remove. In addition, the glue left behind a dark corrosion mark. Other than that, it’s a great product but definitely on the pricey side.
