Pronefra 180ml for Cats & Dogs

One of my dogs is at end stage kidney disease and has therefore become very fussy with eating and I found the powdered phosphorus binders impossible to give him. Pronefra is brilliant in this respect, as it is a palatable liquid that is easily syringed into the mouth. It comes with a syringe that has the dog weight marked, so it is easy to give the correct amount. It also has an ingredient to help blood pressure (which of course rises with kidney disease) which is a welcome bonus. I am very happy with this product and will continue to use it.

No problems getting Sophie to take it and it was recommended by our vet to support her kidney function.

My dog Milly has kidney disease and this was recommended by the vet. She seems to like the taste. I haven't yet taken her back for her check up so I don't know how effective it has been at lowering the phosphate levels in her blood. The administration is very easy to do, just mix it in with food. Only problems I have noted are:~that the numbers wear off the syringe before the bottle is finished. This seems to be worse if you use hot water to rinse the syringe.~that the bottle seems to randomly leak from the screw cap, even when tightly closed. Not all the time, I will just periodically find it's leaked in the cupboard.~would be good if the bottle was clear or at least had a clear indicator strip so you can tell how much is left. I thought there was a few more doses in the bottle, but ran out sooner than expected.

Worked for a long time. Now I don't need it anymore. RIP Shenene, the naughtiest baby of my heart.

The price is not to bad compared to the vets.

Seems to control my dogs kidney problem. (originally recommended by our Vet) have used it for over a year with no adverse effects.
