Nothing Better for a light lub and more.
I have used LPS Products for more years than I care to say. I was introduced to it probably in the 70's. My friend said it did everything that CRC 5-56 did and more. He showed me he could start a car that had a wet ignition by spraying the distributor cap. He showed how it was fantastic to use on TV Tuners back in the day. It lubricates as well as cleans electrical switches and it does NOT conduct electricity, so no fear of shorting out anything if you get it on it. It leaves a very light film of lubricant on anything that is sprayed and stops it from rusting. Surface tension is light and that is why it works well on switches and things like that. It may seem a bit pricey, but it is worth every penny. It is approved in aircraft industry for working and lubrication, so that alone has to tell you it has passed many tests. I remember seeing a small electric motor being put into a jar with LPS-1 in it and the motor just kept on running. I can't live without a can of this around. It fixes almost as many things as a hammer and duct tape do. I haven't read the can in a long time, but I used to think of LPS as "L"ubricates, "P"enetrates, "S"tops rust. I have no affilation with this company, but probably should as I will try to sell this stuff to anyone using something else. I love this stuff that much and it has never failed me over the years.

Great lube with many application including car doors.
Used this lube on the ignition key and car doors to my old mans 92 honda and my 94 toyota. Keys go in without a problem now and feel like new. I've had keys break in the ignition before so this lube is a small price to pay compared to calling a locksmith to your house. As others have stated, a little goes a long way. While I was working on the car doors I sprayed it on our squeeky front gate and it has been quiet for the past two weeks.

This is a lubricant. WD-40 is not.
I bought LPS because I found out that WD40 is not a good lubricant. WD40 loosens locked nuts and bolts but after it evaporates, there are no more benefits. LPS is good for anything that needs proper lubrication (bike chains, treadmills, garage doors, etc.). LPS also loosens nuts and bolts. I'm not an expert. There are many internet articles on WD40, LPS, and many, many other light lubricants.

Did a great job breaking up old grease on the Brother knitting machine.

Great stuff, BUT it stinks!
Smells like very strong bug spray. Awful. But my experts (locksmiths, airplane mechanics, etc.) all say it is THE best lubricant. Don't want to waste my investment or pollute, so am giving to someone who is happy to receive it despite the odor. Also, I don't know how long the smell lasts because I didn't use it. WD-40 takes forever to stop reeking, so I'm guessing that this petroleum-based product will, too.

No mess
This worked great on our awning rollers and arm attachments. It took care of squeaking and made it run smoothly. Also used it for the sliding glass door runners. It doesn’t leave an oily mess. Has a slight odor but that goes away fairly quickly.
