These are great, BUT, if you are replacing CFL bulbs in a light that has a ballast you MUST know how to do it. Most negative reviews on here, from what I can tell, are because people just plugged them into a CFL socket with a ballast. You MUST bypass/remove ballast if you are using these, otherwise you will get the flickering, only comes on for a second, burns out or melts problems. A socket with a ballast initially gives a high voltage charge (i.e. 600v) to start the CFL bulb. These work off a straight voltage from your line (i.e. 110v). These ARE NOT "plug and play" if you are replacing CFLs that have a ballast. The advantage to getting rid of the ballast is this: ballast may be hard to find and/or fit in your fixture, LEDs consumes less energy, cost for 4 of these bulbs is appx. $30 vs. $80 to replace 4 ballasts, longer life expectancy. If you don't know what any of this means or do not have the knowledge to convert your fixtures, don't buy these unless you are going to have an electrician do the work (cost of that may outweigh savings). These are worth it if you know what you are getting into and can perform the transition. The picture with 3 sconces have been converted to these LED bulbs and ballast bypassed. The picture with 2 sconces above TV are still CFL w/ballast. Will convert them when bulbs or ballasts go bad.

Awesome bulbs. Removing the fixture’s ballast and was easy. 5 minutes to have much brighter LEDs and no more weird CFL bulbs! Directions in the box were super clear, as well as on the product listing here.

Not compatible with older units and not drop in replacement for fluorescent bulbs

Good LED replacement. Very easy installation if you have some basic electrical understanding since you have to bypass the ballast. Very good and bright light output. No flicker or fllashing.

I needed all four for my light fixtures and one of the four burned out after four years. I think four years is a reasonable amount of time for these to last for their price. I bought a second set to replace the one bulb. The light quality was substantially different with the new bulb compared to the old. The LEDs chips inside the bulb may be made with better tech, a different factory or maybe they're identical and faded over time as LEDs tend to do. Regardless, I needed to replace all four bulbs when one burned out so the color matched throughout the room. The color is exactly what I expect and want. I did keep the remaining three working bulbs if I one burns out again in four years, maybe the colors will match. I'm burying the lead with these bulbs because you absolutely do NEED TO REWIRE your fixture to remove the ballast for these to work. Every review that says they burn out within a few seconds is written by someone that doesn't know that they need to rewire the fixture. If they burn out quickly, its user error.

Very bright! Will last way longer then the standard mercury CFL bulbs.

After 3 weeks 3 of the bulbs broke down. After 3 and half month of trying to ask the seller to warranty the products they keep saying it is out of the return policy. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SELLER.
