A previously owned vehicle that had been owned by a smoker was hard for us to pass up because of the price. However, the smell that remained in the car was literally giving me headaches and making me ill. I tried fragrances and they didn't even scratch the surface with covering up the scent until I could get the car detailed. This unit came in the mail two days before I was able to get in for the detailing and allowed me to tolerate the smell those two days. It did not get rid of the smell, but must have begun working on the air quality for me to have been able to drive the care those two days. After the detailing , the car smelled wonderful, however the detail company told me that the smell would return again to small degree because of how bad it was. I braced myself for the worse. About a week after the detailing, I could indeed smell the cigarette smell, but it only lasted for a very short time. I believe that was because the Air Purifier was constantly at work and neutralized any remaining scent. This ionizes the air. It is NOT a fan, as one person asked about. This is better technology at work. The light stays on, but it does not drain the battery.

the device worked great for about 2 months then it started to fall apart for the time being it worked well. It would help to eliminate smells or odor or smoke smell from the car, but you had to give the dive short time to do its job, so turn on the car, let it run with electricity, have the device plugged in and the windows closed so it could ionize the air inside the cabin, be sure to have internal air flow going. The time table for the air to be cleaned could vary based on what ever smells still lingered in the car, but I would say a few trips would do the job, so old food maybe 30 minute trip to and from the store? or to another nearby city would the do job? or about 3 hours of continuous use, windows up, internal air cabin on, and driving with the device or maybe leaving the car running outside in the front driveway? perhaps would do for about 2-3 hours to allow the device to get rid of the more stronger smells that could persist? hope this helps other then that, do not twist and pull the device in its entirety as I forced the device the come apart in pieces but to snap the piece straight back and into its plug in area in the vehicle.

I bought this for two reasons: To freshen up the smell of my car and also to help cut down on vapor build up on my windows. (I use an ecig while driving.) I have noticed more of a crisp/fresh smelling air quality since I have started using this product. This also works VERY well for eliminating smells. I have also noticed a significant loss in vapor build up on my windows. Going from having to clean them every few days, to only cleaning them every other week or more. So in summary, this product did exactly what I wanted it to do. Highly recommended for eliminating odors, but especially recommended for those that vape and are looking to cut down on vapor build up. I also want to mention that this product looks great and runs silently.

I normally don’t write poor reviews however this product literally shocked me with its electric current and now I have to come out of pocket to fix the damage this product caused. I got this product as I know a few cigarette smokers and I was hoping that this would help. At first, this product seemed to be as expected however upon the 3rd-4th time using it, I noticed that it didn’t seem to neutralize bad odors as well now but it still helped a little bit. After every time driving, I would unplug it from the cigarette lighter and I would only plug in again when necessary so I can utilize my dashcam instead. However, now I am not able to remove it all. The top of popped up when trying to remove it. If that happens to you too, be careful! There’s a live wire in there and it will shock you! I tried for 20 minutes with plethora of tools to remove it - all to no avail. Note: I have removed at least 10x previously with absolutely no issue. It’s still stuck in the cigarette lighter now. It is showing to be on so it is slowly draining my battery and now I will more than likely have to take it to a mechanic to have it removed so I don’t have to rely on others to jump my car. - just spoke to the mechanics and they want to charge $70 to remove it! And that is assuming the port isn’t damaged otherwise I could be looking at least another on top of that $40 to fix it. Had I known the inconvenience this product was going to cause, I never would have bothered with it. It’s really not worth it - just buy febreeze.

I bought this for my car since I go through so many scented trees! All the reviews seemed very positive so I decided to try it and I’m pretty happy with it. I’m a smoker so I was hoping it’d help with that. I’ve had it about 3 weeks now and it does work! I don’t notice much of an ozone scent ever, and it does greatly reduce the smell of smoke. I wouldn’t say it’s quite perfect though- it’s only working when your car is on (well I guess maybe it is if your car charger port doesn’t turn off when your car is off) so I feel that if it was on all the time it would work better. Maybe if they had a rechargeable battery for it as well? Either way, I’m still happy with my purchase.

First the delivery was right on time. Packaging assured no problem with breakage. I bought two (one for each car.) They are completely silent. The only way you know they are working is that the top portion lights up blue. My car is a 2007 model, so it has the "smell" of an older car. The air purifier does it's job well. It runs when the car is on, and it turns off when your car is turned off.So you can leave it plugged in all the time. In addition to the fact that it does it's job well, it is inexpensive. That was a good enough reason for me to have purchased 2 sight unseen. It was a very good purchase. I have used mine for about 2 weeks now, and there is a noticeably better smell inside.

I think it is actually purifying the air in my car but the overall effectiveness is marginal. If you put your nose right up to the end of the device you smell ozone faintly which is what is supposed to clean the air. Overall I can't tell much difference in my 10 year old car. Thing is it's only on when my car is running so if I were to leave it on overnight it may be more effective. Probably would not buy again.

Last year (2021) I bought a used Kia Optima with just 10,000 miles on it. It's a beautiful car and I love it, but the car but had a heavy cigarette smell in the interior. The ashtray looked as though no one had ever used it so I don't know where the smell was coming from. I tried using the Febreze ultra strong spray on three occasions, but that only covered up the cigarette smell for 1-2 days. I also put in a lavender scent oil diffuser and that was somewhat helpful. Then I bought this ionizer and within days the cigarette smell was pretty much gone. It came back on one occasion but since then the combination of this ionizer and the lavender oil scent diffuser has made the car interior smell fresh and relaxing. I am so happy with with this gadget that I decided to buy another one to put in this car (it has two cigarette lighters), and also one to put in my Lincoln Town Car. Hope this info helps.
