Cast Iron Griddle for Poffertjes Pancake Balls (Aebleskiver), Thai Kanom Krok and Other Desserts Ball, 2" Diameter Molds, Pre-Seasoned, Heavy Duty Stuffed Pancake Pan

Single use pan, but worth it. Four teenage kids and they all come to the table for breakfast with this. I made a buttermilk waffle batter the first use. My son has use it everyday since with a boxed pancake mix. It’s a sold pan. Heavier than it looks which is great. This is cast iron so it’s best to use a medium low flame on a gas stove. No issues with food sticking. After a lite wash and rinse place back on the stove and heat up to dry completely then a light coat of vegetable oil or cooking spray. Will try to get creative and find more uses for it.

This pan works great and the poffertjes don't stick. I took a star off because the bottom of the pan isn't flat so it falls easily on the stove grates. I had to use a metal grate so it would stay flat.

I bought this because my mother-in-law has one and my husband likes to have aebleskivers occasionally. The pre-seasoning was sufficient (recipes do call for oil or butter anyway, and I have several years of experience with cast iron in general). The pattern on the bottom makes it a bit tricky to find just the right spot on a gas burner to balance properly, but I found one that didn't have the handle sticking out dangerously. This pan is not something I will be using on a regular basis because turning all the little pancakes takes time, but it is a good addition to our kitchen.

I purchased this cast-iron aebleskiver to make Banh Khot, Vietnamese savory mini pancakes. I was a little hesitant because there weren’t many reviews and one customer complained about food sticking, but I didn’t have any issues. I used it right out of the box and hardly had any food stick at all. The Banh Khot was cooked evenly and had the perfect crispiness. This dish came out better than any other time I’ve made it, and my guests were very impressed. I am very happy with this purchase. Of course, after using and cleaning, you’ll want to re-season it properly to maintain its abilities. I think preparation and temperature is where most people find issues with cast iron cook wear. Cast-iron doesn’t ruin your meal, your cooking skills do.

Didn't know what to expect because this was one of the lesser priced pan of it's type. Was very very impressed with the awesomeness. I mastered Danish Pancakes by the second use because of the functionality of this pan. I loved it so much that I have just purchased a second one so that I can make pancakes twice as fast. Because this pan was perfect for the job it was easy enough to have two pans cooking at the same time. I highly recommend this pan.

I tried using the pan out of the box and the food stuck. Then I tried seasoning it like my other cast iron pots and pans and it still stuck. I regret buying this pan. Not as good as the other cast iron brands I have bought and used.

Nice pan, does take some scrubbing to get clean but does an above average job for the abelskivers.

Extremely pleased with my purchase. Very high quality. I’ve used it a half dozen times and I doubt this pan ever wears out. I would say that I would purchase it again but I doubt i’ll ever need to.... I know... I’ll gift one!
