Alpine Corporation Outdoor Decor Power Head Pump 120 GPH for Large Fountains, Ponds, and birdbaths

This was a replacement pump for us, and I believe it will perform very well for a very long time. I'm impressed with the smaller size from our original, which made it easier to install. If there is one small drawback it might be for users that want to be able to make adjustments to the flow rate, but I'd still highly recommend the pump.

I was excited to find this product as it seems to be the exact unit that came in a Homedics water fountain my parents bought about 25 years ago.Their original unit failed several years ago after running dry. I spent a long time looking for a replacement pump with the halogen light, there was nothing close, until I found this.Upon receiving the pump I immediately connected it to the old fountain and put water into the basin. I turned on the power, excited to see this fountain which glowed and flowed in my parents living room for years, and then collected dust for many more, finally come back to life.The pump worked perfectly. However, the light came on and flickered, then went out permanently.Utter disappointment. The light was on for less than 2 seconds before failure.I could have bought any plain pump, or pump with ugly LED lighting, over the years, but I didn't because I wanted to restore this fountain to its original beautiful function with soft light. That's why I bought this product, it looks exactly like the original unit. It's the only halogen offering I found.If this had happened a few months after purchase, I wouldn't be as bothered. To have it fail immediately upon first use made me not even want a replacement.

This pump has the perfect pressure for my wall fountain and the light make it so beautiful at night. I also had a great experience with customer service concerning a question I had.....very prompt and helpful!!

I have a small office fountain and the motor died. I bought this as a replacement. The fountain works perfectly... except because it is barely covered, it is a bit loud. I would NOT recommend this for a shallow fountain. It's NOT the fountain's fault, it's my shallow bowl. I'll keep it because the light is bright and the fountain works... I'm just going to have to look for a bigger bowl that holds more water so it isn't so loud.

The pump went out in our small, 3-tiered rock fountain and this replacement works great. Quiet with a perfect flow rate. Great value for the money.

Strong pump. 5☆Unfortunately it turned off a couple of times. I returned and on my 2nd one. The price keeps going up. That's not cool. Now it's down $10, but not at my original bought price (still up $20). Seems seller should honor original price when returning an item. Not good. 1☆ on that.

Stronger than the pump that came with it! I’m no handyman but I was able to exchange this pump for the last one myself….If you have lights in your fountain built in get the model with the lamp!! I’m sure there’s a way to remove the bulb on the pump and attach the lights on the fountain to the new pump! I didn’t think of that until I had already hooked the pump up and didn’t order the one with a bulb attached….Now I don’t have lights in my fountain….My bad….maybe next time
