Excellent tone and playability!
I recently put these Ernie Ball Earthwood strings on my acoustic-electric bass, and they sound fantastic. The tone is warm and natural, perfect for both fingerstyle and light slap playing. They feel smooth under the fingers and have a really consistent tension across the strings. They’re easy to install, stay in tune well, and have a great lifespan for an acoustic bass set. If you want rich, full-bodied acoustic bass tones, these strings are definitely worth it!

It made my acoustic bass absolutely sing
These strings brought such a bright tone to my acoustic bass, it made me wonder what the hell I've been doing this whole time. The strings I had on it previously just sounded so deep and quiet, I couldn't even hear the damn thing. As soon as I put these strings on I immediately noticed a difference in how warm these strings sounded. They're also not extremely rough on the fingers sliding up and down the fret board like some other strings are, but I have quite a bit of callous built up, so any of you new comers might not feel the same about that as I do. Either way, I dig em, they make my bass feel more like MY bass. Peace.

Solid, acoustic bass strings, but they take a while to break in
I resisted, changing the strings on my guitar for a long time, because I always had a hard time finding acoustic bass equipment. I was very glad to find these at a good price, and I got to say they were a gray change. My base already sounds way better than it did and the springs have new life to the instrument. I won’t complain is that I prefer a Mall broken in styled. It takes a bit for the strings to kind of weird down. But hopefully that means the last for a good long while.

Best strings for the value
Best strings for acoustic electric bass in my experience always consistant

Solid!
I’ve been using these for years, predominantly due to their intonation stability and super growly acoustic bass tone on my 30 year old Ovation 4. As with any strings, clean and lubricate them after every use to maintain their brightness and they’ll last you a good long while.

Perfect for my needs
I bought a new acoustic bass and replaced the old strings with these. They woke the tone right up and feel great.
