The Sandman Omnibus Vol. 2

Sandman is a legend in itself and owning this Omnibus is like the best thing I have ever done! It comes with a glossy silverish black spine and black looking pages which gives the book a smart, pricey and elegant finish. A must have for all sandman fans.....

Did it meet my exceptions? It blew my mind! Very beautifully crafted. Its a collectors dream. I have never read the sandman, so I am reading the Omnibus, its a little too big to carry and read.

superb graphic novel

Excellent piece of work by Neil gaiman. You should read this book once in your lifetime.from story to art everything is a piece of art ,what a gem! If u buy this one it will enhance the beauty of your bookshelf.but the only thing I don't like is Amazon's packing .they used thin packet to deliver the book. I hope next time they will use hard cardboard packing which can protect the item properly.

On the lookout for complete Sandman collections, I was undecided about buying the slip-cased paperback boxset or the premium Absolute editions, but then I realised that for less money (a LOT less in the case of the Absolutes) I could actually get these leather-bound omnibus beasts. I think it's safe to say that I made the right choice! The two volumes are heavy but pleasingly so, both beautiful to look at and hold: genuinely admirable books that, content aside, are works of art in themselves. You'll really feel as though your money was spent on something substantial that will last, hopefully, for a lifetime. The comics? Well, of course they're great. Enough said. Get them before they sell out - or you'll regret it!

Fantastic stories collected for the back half of the Sandman series run. Unlike the annotated version this a fantastic collection of the remainder of the series for fans of the comic book series from the 1990's who may of missed an issue or two within their collection. Thus allowing them to read the complete series and see everything that happened leading up to the conclusion of the Sandman series at issue 75. For those that are looking for a more in depth examination of the series and the individual issues that annotated hard covers may be the way to go for you then. They are currently on the third in that series and still have 2-3 more to go before they have the entire series completed in an annotated format.

I own the smaller 10-volume series from 1993, and I love it for the set's handiness and original colour palette, which I find 'edgier' and with more character. However, the smaller format/words is slowly getting in the way of my enjoyment, as I am not getting any younger. That's where this new omnibus volume comes in! The larger format is definitely a welcome relief, and I like the more naturalistic new colour palette. Only complaint is the heftiness, which I overcame with a good book stand for large books. I like the addition of some new stories not originally found in the 1993 10-volume series. I have not bought Vol III of this omnibus series, as I mostly just like the original stories, and having bought some of the comics contained in Vol III, I think I can do without that volume, and save my money/shelf space for something else.

I've been waiting for something just like this, since I picked up my very first Sandman Issue1, back in college in the 90's! ONE issue had me hooked! This set is bound SO beautifully! They will look stunning in my library, but could easily look perfect on the shelves at say the National Archives! I haven't opened them yet, because I'll admit I'm intimidated! All 3 of them are SO BIG, and i know i face one of 2 realities: either A) I sit up for the next 10 days straight, without eating, drinking, or going to the bathroom, until my system goes into shock; OR, I spend the next 5 years just reading a few pages at a time, so I can savor it longer! This is a FANTASTIC set, the BEST graphic novel omnibus I've ever seen

Unter all meinen Sammelbänden ist dies der Besste, wenn es um die Qualität des Buches an sich geht. der Inhalt der Geschichten ist mir ebenfalls ein Genuss. Die Bundung un der Einband sind super verarbeitet und kein Vergleich zu den China Bindungen bei so manchem Darkness Kompendim etwa. Auch die Aufmachung und Gestaltung gefallen mit sehr gut.
