These balls come in a extremely nice zipper pouch which, in itself, will withstand a certain amount of abuse when traveling or carrying around. You know you have them as there is some weight there. The sensory aspect comes in the texture on the balls, with the magnetic aspect providing an additional "fidget" sense when holding them in one hand. We found it best to just use three balls at a time, but this depends on what works for the "fidgeting person". I sat watching TV with three in one hand and just manipulated them while not even thinking about it. I do think it provided some stress relief. I tried adding a few balls and clicking them around the magnetic field, then twirled them around on the coffee table. We'll have them around for our grandchildren, but we might use them more often due to their quality and effect. Highly recommended.
