We got this Sensei Splinter figure for our 5-year old so that his reptile pupils get proper training ins the ways of the ninja. Though the price was a bit more expensive than our previous purchases in the range. .I'm not too familiar with the new 'Rise of the TMNT' line and the look, but the figures look great to me. Very sturdy, colourful and with loads of points of articulation. So you can pose them in a wide range of ninja moves. And its great for play value. Also some small accessories are included, that children might loose, so we keep the tiniest apart (like the 2 throwing stars).
