Good fountain pump, excellent filtration, recommended!
This pond filter pump is pretty solid, mostly built with plastic parts, but still pretty durable. It measures about 11" wide and 11" long at the outermost points. When I received this, the ceramic balls had come out of their container and they were scattered about the inside of the housing, not a huge deal but maybe could be packaged a little better. The fully submergible pump seems to be very good quality, corded with standard US household 3-prong, 110V, sealed up well with suction cups on the bottom to hold it securely. I am unsure of the exact amount of wattage it pulls as it isn't listed anywhere, but my educated guess is around 40 watts or so, based on past experiences with similar AC pumps, 660 GPH flow rate. They have also included a longer outdoor AC power cord to run to outlet. They have included everything needed for a quick and easy installation. The exterior housing seems to be a little but cheaply made, thin plastic that bends pretty easily. It holds together with four blue plastic clips that are also cheaply made. However, the outer housing really doesn't do much heavy lifting, it is just there to keep the larger debris like leaves and plants from entering the actual pump. There are 2 containers full of ceramic balls, 10 bio balls, a filter foam pad, and a green water UV clarifier, all included with the package, which is very nice! This pond filter fountain pump kit with all that comes with it, is a really good value for the money. It is a pretty easy and straightforward installation, just read instructions regarding minimum of 6" and maximum 18" water levels, placement, etc. You may need to prop it up on rocks or something depending on how deep your pond is. The robust filtration is efficient for up to 2,000 gallons maximum. I think it is good quality and it should hold up for a long time, if not, I will update my review. At this time, I would buy it again, and I recommend this pond filter fountain kit to anyone!

It does keep the water in a small pond clearer, but I do not know how much power it uses.
The base for this is huge and they suggest you put rocks in it to keep it secure. If you are planning on using this in say, a fountain you may want to reconsider. It comes with a bunch of filter balls and two boxes full of little ball filters and a UV light. I am a bit frustrated that I cannot find anywhere how much power this draws, wattage or otherwise. I went to their site and could not find it. We put it in a small pond, and it does keep the water a bit clearer. One thing to consider is that the min depth of water is 6 inches and the max is 18 inches (you could probably put it up on say, a block in your pond) if it was too short. I do like that the box keeps out the main amount of debris from the pump, although the needles from our pine trees do make it in there. Photo with water bottle for scale.
