Nice strong magnet, but the eye screw threads are a bit loose (typical with mass-produced economy hardware).It COULD come unscrewed while you're trying to retrieve something, losing both the item and your magnet.I eliminated this possibility bu mixing up some 2-part epoxy and putting it on the threads before reassembling. I suggest you do the same.

The electronic stud finders always fail me.. too erratic in their readings. I use this magnet, it locates the nails that attach the drywall to the stud so I’m always right on. Low tech but accurate, extremely portable, and no need for batteries. This magnet is good and strong, will hold to the wall from attaching itself to a single nail.

This magnet works really well and can carry lots of weight. It is very portable and the size is just perfect. You can easily carry it in your hand. Be careful when placing it near metal because it is very powerful. This magnet does its job very well.

I dropped a box of screws a couple days ago and picked them up with this magnet. There were over 100 screws. This magnet picked them all up in a flash. But then I couldn't pull them off the magnet! I had to get a pair of pliers and pull them one at a time.

I already owned a neodymium fishing magnet when I ordered these., so I don't need them for fishing. I use them to hold mesh bug screen to the steel siding around my garage door. There really powerful. They're a little spendy but rare earth metals are costly. Well worth it for my purposes.
