The only brand that can make a quality product for aggressive chewers
If your K9 is constantly ripping at their bed, you can make them sleep on the floor. However, as they get older their joints will start hurting. Don't lose hope. The bed is expensive but its a one time purchase. My K9 had ripped up 2 beds before eating the cost and going with K9 Ballistics. Buy once, cry once.

For PHAT guys too 🤣
Mr buddy Bojangles loves his bed, especially after being outback in the yard, the Florida heat for a few... He runs in straight to his bed! So far it's been awesome and he DIDN'T tare this one up!!! He tried once but he likes to pull it to his secret spot and it was to heavy to drag.... He GAVE UP🤣🙏 NEVER tried again! Great quality! Worth EVERY penny!

Functions As Advertised
Our two dogs have destroyed a number of dog beds in their 9 months of existence. This is the first one that they have not even begun to damage. Removing the cover for cleaning can be a challenge but it allows for easy washing. Bed is pricey but it looks like it may last our dogs’ lifetime.

It does resist chewing. To an extent.
This is a very loud dog bed. The fabric is so stiff that whenever my lab moves around on it it makes a lot of noise. It did last longer than other beds, but not completely chew proof.

Dalmatian Mommy Loves It and human Mommy is Relieved
I waited awhile to write this review ... Here’s my story: This is Lily, 4 yr old purebred Dalmatian, 57lbs. Lily never tore up her bed until after her one and only litter of puppies . She sleeps in a 42” soft sided crate, on a mattress, covered by a quilted kennel pad and a thick throw blanket. About every 1-2 months I would hear squealing in the bedroom and run to find Lily in a fit of frenzied bed destruction. Fluff and memory foam all over the floor, and Lily looking bewildered as if she didn’t know what had just happened. You can’t get mad because it’s obviously instinct. After replacing her bed at Costco, and with less expensive beds here on Amazon, I realized I had spent enough money to have bought two or three of these K9 ballistic beds. So I decided to try one on the off chance that it could take a licking and keep on ticking.I was impressed with the bed the minute I unwrapped it! It is a well-made thick mattress that comes with a very tough cover that is like a pillowcase that seals with Velcro. No discernible edges or zippers to invite chewing. I had no problem getting the pillow into the cover. The Velcro goes down the middle of the pillow and makes a very tight 1 inch wide seal. I turned that side down to the bottom of the kennel leaving a perfect pillow that was slightly bigger than her kennel. It was not a problem as it fit in there just right with one edge making a little turned up bolster. I’m happy to sayThat she sleeps peacefully and no longer even attempts to dig or chew her bed! She rolls up in her blanket like a burrito. I wasn’t quick enough with the camera to get that picture but you can see her blanket rolled up beside her. I recommend the quilted velvet kennel pad that you can buy here on Amazon because the cover of the bed is slick and I live in a cold climate. This is the best bed out there. Well worth the money ! My other three will be getting this mattress soon even though they don’t tear up their beds because of the comfort and quality level. GET ONE ( be sure and pick this one, not the softer ones

This Bed is Working Great for Our Pug
We got Andy, a 19 week old fawn pug, and soon learned that he's a zipper whiz. I took a 40 minute walk one morning and came home to find him romping in the innards of his cozy doughnut bed. He and his black pug "sister," Ruby were chewing on the stuffing made out of heaven knows what. They were in separate play pens and he managed to "share" his fluffy stuffing. No matter what the stuffing is made of, I know for sure it's not meant to be eaten by pets.Andy looks for zippers to open on his beds,or he chews a little hole in the bed and then extracts the filling through the hole. So I searched for a chew resistant bed and found this one. I left two questions for other Amazon buyers and they were very kindly answered. I wanted to know if the bed was soft for the dog to lie on, and if the covering was noisy when the dog stepped on it.The bed is soft. One person described the covering as similar to heavy canvas and that is a good comparison. It's slick, not porous like canvas would be. It does make some noise when stepped on, it's not like a bed with a soft plush cover, but we wouldn't be looking for this type of bed if those beds worked for our dogs. Both of our pugs lie on it. It's a good bed for outside on the deck playpen on nice days.I'm in awe that any dog can get this Velcro open because my wife can barely do that. The bed came with the inside separate from the covering. We're in our sixties and I couldn't get the cover open to get it on the bed, so she struggled successfully and got the cover on. I had no idea Velcro could be so tough! We haven't washed the bed because we can't get the outer cover off again, so we rinse it with the hose. The bed looks bright and clean, so we're not that motivated to fight with the Velcro again. Our Andy isn't a big time chewer, but he's still teething. He appears to enjoy the challenge of looking for a way to get to the stuffing in beds. He got under this bed when we first gave it to him, and worked on the Velcro, but he couldn't get it open. This bed is excellent quality and I feel confident that he won't be able to damage it. Andy's breeder asked me what kind of bed I'd gotten so I sent her the link to this item after Andy gave it a fair test run.
