English Lane facade
This detailed street scene section from Lemax is a polyresin facade piece, powered by 3xAA batteries via a built in battery box, though there is also a plug socket for an optional 4.5v mains adapter to allow this to be used with mains power. The lighting for this piece is nice and bright, and it shows up well in a display. There are holders in the back allowing the piece to be wall hung (over nails/screws) if wished. The lighting for English Lane appears simpler than that on some of the Lemax facades, with almost entirely white lighting provided via a combination of interior lights, exterior up and down lighting, lighted Christmas garlands, and an illuminated street lamp on the corner of the piece. As ever with Lemax, there are masses of little details to track. If you were being particularly pedantic, you might question the combination of gentlemen in Victorian-style clothing in the Prince of Wales pub, an old-fashioned style street lamp, and a distinctly 20th century telephone box - but the combination is charmingly put together.Although this is a fairly shallow depth facade, the clever styling suggests depth and a thoroughfare into a bustling world beyond.

It s so stunning i want to cry!!
The English lane is so damn beautiful i ve been sitting in front of it for the last 10 mins and I don't want to move ! Actually, I wish I was a student in Mrs Frizzle s magic school bus to become a 2cm tall person and go live inside this English lane! This is done to perfection, and the price paid £70 is expensive but it s worth every penny. The only problem now is that I want to collect them all !!! My poor bank account 😢

Too many faults
How this company produces their products with so many problems and variables, I'll never know. To start with, all the English Lane models have the same moulding flaw on the chimney. The mould obviously broke and they poorly stuck it back on. So every model has the same 'snapped' line, making all models look like they have a broken chimney.Next, the top half of the interior model I had wasn't lit up very much. Due to the leds not being positioned properly inside.Next, the row of small leds on front right didn't light up.Poor quality alround.

Great detail and lighting!
Wonderful scene of the past with some good detail and atmospheric lighting. Great decoration any time of the year.

Great Christmas model.
A few parts of the model had come away & required re-glueing which was fairly easy, other than that it's very detailed & looks great when lit.

Amazing detail
Beautiful detailed product. Have bought lemax before and they are far superior to cheaper products. I notice something new every time I look at it.
