Peaty's Foaming Drivetrain Bike Degreaser - 500ml

Usually get the muc off chain cleaner but decided to give this a punt and it’s performs well! Used on my motorbike chain spray on, leave a couple of mins and then give a good scrub and chain looks great Also cheaper than most similar products

This is a nice product. It foams well, and washes off well. Doesn’t seem to get into bearings etc. You do need to agitate the foam to get best effect. If the chainset is covered in thick old oil/grease, like a black goop, it will not remove it.

Brilliant stuff does what it should

Really effective degreaser cassette now looks new, jockey wheels now not like tractor tyres . Spray on leave for 5 mins then agitate and wash off bosh shiny sparkly drive train . No horrible smell environmentally kind and does what it says

This stuff is so good! I usually use MO chain cleaner as it's the most effective, but it's expensive and I find it doesn't go far. I've tried other brands that pretty much do nothing so when I needed some more I was going to get MO again but saw Peaty's brand one and thought; why not? Well, this stuff is amazing to say the least. It costs less, you need less of it and it does such a good job. Spray it on, it foams so it kinda stays put. Leave it a few minutes and then with minimal scrubbing you rinse it off and honestly, the chain looks new. Strangely enough as well I find the chain seems to stay cleaner for longer after being washed, maybe because it's a deep clean, I don't know, but it does. I can't recommend this enough and it should last a long time. Good lad, Peaty! Update; December '25; Unfortunately the initial honeymoon period has worn off with this product, it seems fine to use during the warmer months and works well but does not perform well on winter chain cleans. Even scrubbing after applying is still leaving a dirty chain and cassette, plus the spray bottle has stopped spraying properly and spits more than it does spray. Shame, initially I loved it. I've had to dock 2 stars and will have to go back to MO. Sorry, Peaty :(

It works, Say no more!

A fair bit of effort was required to completely clean my bicycle chain, gears and derailleur. Better than WD40, but I'll try MuckOff next time.

This seems to do a pretty quick job degreasing the cassette. Better than anything else I've tried.

JUST WOW! I’m still in the middle of using this product and had to stop to write a review. I bought my son a 2008 Trek Alpha secondhand — this thing had been through the wringer, with original parts gunked up and rusty as you can imagine. I even went as far as buying new drivetrain parts, including a cassette. But upon cleaning the original cassette from 2008 to replace it, I was blown away. It literally looks brand new! I’m happy to say this product has already saved me $80, since I’ll be returning the cassette I just ordered 😆. THANK YOU, PEATY! I forgot to take a before picture, but it was bad enough for me to buy a new one. Sometimes all it takes is a good wash with a really great product.
