Disappointing, many coding errors!!!
I originally bought the older version of this book, started solving problems but soon left it since I found so many typos and errors. I was excited to see that they have a new version, I thought they would have corrected the coding errors. Wrong again, the 2016 edition contains a coding error almost in every other page. It is mind boggling to me that they don't run the coding examples in the book to see if they compile or not. Not professional at all.

This book has share in my current job
I have purchased this book along with my two room-mates to crack the technical interviews. We all shared the same book and got good jobs (even though not in Microsoft, Google, Apple, Amazon). We all are happy for that :)The book is very true to the nature of technical interview questions. It exposes you to all the important questions that the interviewers would expect you to know. The good thing about the book is it gives concepts along with problems and solution. It provide the implementation code for all important data structures. Some questions during the interview come straight from it. Others are very similar. Once you study this book, you will be fully prepared to handle any questions on the interview. If you feel the book is not helping, it means you have put your effort in reading the complete book and might have just saw few pages. Some of my friends found this book not as helpful because they only glance over it. My suggestion would be to READ COMPLETE READING OF THE BOOK (give multiple readings)!I also agree with others that at places the grammatical issues were there. Since the book description says it is updated now, I hope that issue got solved now.

Lots of typos and poorly written
This book seems to cover a the right topics but the writing is poor and often hard to understand. There are also loads of typos, at least in the copy I received. The copy I received had the word algorithmic spelled "algorithmc" on the front cover. I see the copy shown in Amazon has doesn't have this typo, so maybe I somehow received the pre-proofed version. If a mathematics based textbook is full of typos, it makes it very hard to trust the validity of the equations and example problems.

Do not miss the preface!
The author catches the reader's eye with very first line of book: Dear Reader, Please Hold on!. From that sentence he tries to deliver what he has promised in that preface. This book is for those who are core algorithmists and who loves them. This book gave the possible solutions (in fact, exploring for different solutions) for every problem of all chapters. That is where the uniqueness lies for this book among others. I am not saying other books are bad but I liked this kind of presentation. Even basic learners of this topic can easily understand what is all algorithms about and why big companies relies on them.the book covers only data structures and algorithms part (not talking about resume preparation, contacting companies etc.), it is pretty much neat and clear way of presenting the concepts. Finally, one word. "Great", great means great.

An essential book for every programmer, you can't read ...
An essential book for every programmer, you can't read this kind of book on bus, you need to fully constraint while reading it. The exercises after each chapter are very important to fully understand the chapter you just read, and to activate your brain's neurons. The book in itself is an outstanding one, very organized, focused and small chapters makes it easier to understand the algorithms inside it.It contains the essential and most popular algorithms, so you can't live wthout it if you are real programmer.
