Q: All the diy versions seem to favor 1-2rpm, but if i'm reading this right, it's 5rpm. was any analysis done, or was this just the stepper motor on hand

We tested it and found 5 rpm works the best. There is no need for 1-2 rpm with our machine. The motor with reducer is selected specifically for this speed. You can see all the reviews on Amazon. Everyone was very satisfied with the cleaning results. This proofs that the selection was correct.

Hi. Yes, the rotation motor can be mounted on either side of the tank. This record cleaning machine, by the way, is one of the most judicious purchases I have ever made. I researched it thoroughly before spending the money. It is extremely effective at removing particles from grooves and at making LPs look beautiful. God bless.

Q: How warm does the heater get the water, and are you able to get the model without the heater but with the 10 disc capacity?

The heater runs independently to ultrasound so it can be left off. We have switched over to a new version with simpler controls on P4875II+MVR10. The heater is preset to 95F/35C on the new version if the heater is turned on. On the other two models with the control panel on the top, there are no heaters. The model numbers are P4875-NH+MVR5, P4875II-4T+MVR5, with NH stands for No Heater. They can be used for 10-records as well except we recommend P4875II for 10 records as it's more ergonomic. The water will become lukewarm after a couple of cycles even without a heater and it's perfect for most cleaning.
