Brought my iron level up & keeps it there!
Although I am past the point that I should need iron, mine tends to run a bit low so my doctor suggested I take some and I am unable to take a multivitamin due to B6 building up in my system. I like this because it’s a soft gel and it’s not huge. It also does not cause any of the side effects that iron can cause, at least not with me but I take it with food. There’s no smell, no taste and no aftertaste. The recommended serving is two softgels, but since I’m not real low, I only need one so the bottle lasts me three months which is a fantastic deal for the price! I’ve always loved Nature’s Way, so I did not think twice about buying these, and I like the fact that it has Vitamin C to help absorb the iron and they throw in a little Vitamin B12 for a nice kick of energy. Thanks Nature’s Way!

Label info for a great product
Every Enzymatic Therapy product I have tried has been very satisfactory. I bought this for my athlete daughter and she takes only one rather than two softgels daily, which is enough for the minimum RDA but way better than other products because it is absorbed very easily. Each softgel is about 5/8ths of an inch long Because the product description does not include some of the information on the Enzymatic Therapy website, here it is: LABEL: "Two softgels daily, or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner. Serving Size: 2 Softgels Amount/Serving %DV Calories 10 Calories from fat 5 Total Fat 1g / 1%** Protein <1g / 1%** Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) 120 mg / 200% Folic Acid 400 mcg /100% Vitamin B12 (as cyanocobalamin) 200 mcg / 3,332% Iron (as ferrous succinate) 50 mg / 278% Liquid Liver Fractions (predigested and concentrated) 500mg* Chlorophyll (fat-soluble) 10 mg* This product does not contain * artificial coloring * artificial flavoring * corn * dairy products * gluten * preservatives * salt * sugar * wheat * yeast This product contains natural ingredients; color variations are normal. Notes: If pregnant, nursing, or taking prescription drugs, consult your healthcare practitioner prior to use. Softgel color is that of its natural ingredients. **Based on 2000 calorie diet. Other Ingredients: soybean oil, gelatin, vegetable glycerin, beeswax, and soy lecithin. UPC Codes: 763948052295 DETAILS: Why take an iron supplement? Because active women lose iron fast: Not only do women of childbearing age lose iron each month, an active, athletic lifestyle burns through the body's stores of iron even more quickly. An iron supplement, especially readily absorbed heme iron, can help boost energy and red blood cell levels, too. Why use Ultimate Iron®? It helps support stamina and energy: Ultimate Iron® replenishes iron for vital energy and stamina. Its synergistic blend helps promote healthy red blood cells. It features liquid liver fractions, a rich source of heme iron: Heme iron is the most easily absorbable form of iron - up to 33% more absorbable than non-heme iron.AQ FAQ: Does Ultimate Iron® cause constipation? While constipation is a common side effect of non-heme iron supplements, the heme iron in Ultimate Iron® has less of a constipating effect. If you do experience constipation, simple dietary changes may help alleviate the problem. Slowly increase the fiber in your diet by including whole grain breads, cereals, fruits, and vegetables. Drink at least 8 cups of fluids daily and get some moderate exercise (as recommended by your physician) such as walking or bike riding. Can Ultimate Iron® and a calcium supplement be taken at the same time? Research has shown that calcium can interfere with the absorption of iron. Therefore, we recommend taking Ultimate Iron® and the calcium supplement at different times of the day, at least two hours apart." -end of label info-

Anemic, Stress Rxs, Palps, PVCs....the road to recovery is to heal your gut and supplement your diet!
Practically overnight, I became anemic & lactose intolerant from gluten intolerance. I am 30 and was suffering from severe brain fog and joint pain as well as acid reflux, anxiety, stress reactions, and the dreaded PVC- skipped beats when resting and being aware of beats at night in bed or when resting but not during exercise ,which is scary but common with anemia. I also missed many periods. I believe a virus or bacteria/yeast did a number on my small intestine and it made my anemia worse so I had trouble absorbing iron and likely calcium, and many nutrients that are essential. I just started "ultimate iron" and it seems to help big time. Thank God! I also take this with Magnesium Citrate and Potassium Citrate and palps have decreased quite a lot. Also, I started taking glutamine and probiotics to heal my guy to increase absorption of iron and calcium. I think this is the ticket. I will update in a month and if I forget, remind me. Please comment if you have had similar symptoms. :-) Nice to know there are others. Update: Its been about a month and wow, I feel amazing and Im even under quite a bit of stress from other stuff (non-health related)! I rarely get any IBS issues now, maybe once a week if that. Also my PVCs are gone(knock on wood)! I dont want to speak so soon but I am thrilled not to experience those even if for a short while. That alone makes it worthwhile. I take this supplement every 2 days or so. Update: Its been years, I am so good these days now that I avoid gluten and most dairy and most meat. I feel so freaking amazing! I feel I am in my prime (I am now 34) despite a couple injuries that I am working through. I am pretty happy health wise, but there is always room for improvement. YAY!

Helpful but need 2 pills a day
My Dr and a specialist recommended these to help with my low iron, while also including some of the other essentials. I took one pill a day for several months, and my iron levels are normal, but I did just notice after all that time that I was supposed to be taking 2 pills per day. With 1 pill per day I didn't have any stomach issues but if you need a full serving of iron you'll need 2 pills. They're pretty large so taking 2 is kind of a chore but not too horrible.

Better than a prescription drug
Sir When my Dr. told me I was low on iron, she gave me a prescription for iron ,when I started taking the pills I found that they were very constipating, and was telling my daughter-in-law about the prescription that my Dr. ordered for me, she then told me about the iron which she was taking, and suggested that I should try Enzymatic Therapy Ultimate Iron 90 Softgels and she gave me 10 pills to try, and I did try them, they worked so good, I started feeling better, and NO constiipation and I have been taking one pill a day now for 4 years. On my next appointment with my physcian I brought the prescription bottle of pills with me and told what my daughter-in-law told me and told her that the bottle of prescription pills that she prescribed for me to take, she could give them to someone else, when my Dr. read about the iron pills my daughter-in-law gave me,the Dr. said there is a lot of great thing in these iron pills and to continue to take them and like I said I have been taken them now for at least 4 years. Thank you for making such a great product. Sincerly Grace Bourque

Feeling better already.
I started taking this iron supplement about 4 weeks ago and have felt a lot better. My hemoglobin is normal, but my ferritin, which is a measure of stored iron in the body, was low at 25. Low ferritin and iron are common in female distance runners, and I have been using various supplements for years. I've tried quite a few and this one is probably the best because it contains heme iron in the liver fractions. The formula also contains Folic Acid (essential for females), and Vitamins C and B12, which help with iron absorption and anemia. I have not had any stomach discomfort with this supplement. I no longer feel exhausted around 2-3 PM like I did before, and my runs don't feel as labored. I'm able to concentrate better at work and just feel better all around with more energy. I haven't had my ferritin remeasured, but hopefully it is increasing as adding this supplement is the only thing I've changed.

I feel great! They've really kept me "regular" and have helped ...
I've been tracking my food intake the few months to see what kind of vitamins I'm getting with the normal food that I eat. I'm not much of a meat eater and am lacking in the Iron department. I bought these supplements to help perk up my iron intake. In past years I have taken an iron supplement and it made me constipated and I believe was just too much iron for my body. With these pills, I feel great! They've really kept me "regular" and have helped my hair to feel thicker and just better all around. I've always thought I had thin hair due to a thyroid issues, but I really believe it's been because of a lack of iron. I will say the first day or two of taking these on an empty stomach made me feel extremely nausea. It took a few days to get used to taking them and now if I drink a cup of water after swallowing the pills, it helps to not make me feel sick.
