The Chef's Shake or All-Purpose Seasoning from The Spice Hunter is excellent on chicken. I use it as an alternative to a Fines Herbes blend when baking chicken. It has a slight pepper flavor due to spices in the mix. All of the spices from The Spice Hunter are excellent; they are now my preferred brand.

This is a great all around seasoning, I use it on fish, chicken, steaks, pretty much most things I cook. The only reason I give less stars is that over the years the price has gone up dramatically. I also added it to my subscriptions so only realized the price increase once I received the item. The last delivery was broken, the jar was in pieces inside the opened delivery bag. Amazon did refund after a couple of phone calls, but it wasn't easy and at over $12 for the spice I thought it was overpriced. They said they could not send a replacement. Very strange! I am hesitant to purchase again.

NOTE: THIS CAME WITH A NEW NAME in 2025. It's now called "All-Purpose Seasoning." It used to be called "Chef's Shake for many years before that. I checked the ingredients. They're exactly the same. I've had this on subscription, and have used it for over 10 years. I love this spice recipe: for tuna salad (canned tuna) with mayo and lots of chopped veggies mixed in.
