“Guruji” BKS Iyengar speaks through this book. The clear and authentic voice in which he speaks can only arise from someone who has understood yoga not as a scholar alone but as a practitioner. He has practiced and taught yoga for over seven decades and every sentence in this book is as authoritative as it is modest. I feel that this book written with scholarship, insight and humility by the great master of yoga is probably the best way to understand what yogic journey can achieve.

This book is life changer for everyone , it would be helpful if you have some knowledge of yoga

Self uplifting

I ordered the paper back edition. This is an excellent book. No second thought about that. I had an earlier edition bought from a book shop some six years ago. So this is a repeat buy, and that is because I seem to have misplaced my earlier edition. My only complaint is that the format is bad compared to the earlier edition. Print is really small! That is a big disappointment for me. I obviously love the book from a content perspective. Really request the publisher to come out with the earlier format/size. I will definitely pay for this!

Excellent book by master of yoga, provides great insight on the body, mind, life and there integration. Best book to start your yoga journey

One of the best books on practice of YOGA in the real sense. The entire philosophy of yogic practices explained in a very practical way without mixing any colour of religion, theology or dogma particular to a country or ism. Must read for all especially those who are interested in well being through self discipline and practice.
