Schwinn retro-style updated for today’s Kids
I bought this bike for my daughter because it was a throwback to the bike that I had growing up as a child. I had a Schwinn Stingray back in the 70s and was happy to see that the model style was still available. I chose this model because my daughter is a bit taller than the average child and she did not do that well with the BMX-style bike she had before this one. The bike arrived in a box that was slightly damaged but I figured that’s what happens in transit. All the parts were there and as you can tell from the picture the rear fender was damaged a little bit-but that seems to be what’s happening with all of these bikes if you look at the other reviews and pictures. Beyond that, I did have to go through a store-bought pair of training wheels that were not long enough, but I did find a pair on Amazon that work perfectly. My daughter loves the color of the bike & I was able to find a helmet that matched perfectly. Her learning has increased and she enjoys riding the bike - even with the falls she inevitably takes - and has already asked to remove the training wheels! Schwinn makes a GREAT, sturdy product and I am glad to pass on my bike riding tradition to My Kids.

Great bicycle and amazing Schwinn customer service
Bike is a smooth ride, is stylish and my daughter loves it! I also needed to contact Schwinn customer service to replace a part damaged in shipping. Schwinn customer service is amazing. They shipped me the replacement part very quickly and also shipped me an extra part I said I would pay for separately. They responded very quickly and exceeded my expectations. Not many companies have a "wow" factor in customer service anymore but Schwinn definitely does. I highly recommend Schwinn bikes not only because of their great products at a reasonable price, but also because of their exceptional customer service!

It brings you back!
I purchased this bike for my granddaughter because I wanted to buy her first "real" bike. I love how schwinn has stayed true to their brand by not skimping on things like the chain guard. Theirs is metal, others are plastic. They really build quality bikes! I bought this particular bike because it reminded me of my first bike in the early 80s which was also a schwinn and a banana seat. I unpacked it and it only had 1 defect. The back fender was damaged in shipping and was bent down on the tire. I straightened it best I could and at had a little crinkle in the fender but other than that it was fine. So I assembled the bike and adjusted it for my granddaughter. I called Amazon thinking I could just get a replacement fender. Well the only option was to replace the bike or return it. So needless to say my granddaughter loves her bike and she has a little crinkled fender and that's why I give 4 stars

Beautiful bike
This bike is beautiful. Our daughter loves it. It was easy to assemble and we are happy with our purchase. We were missing one of the tire caps.

Good looking bike.
Nice looking bike, it reminds me of the 70's when the Stingrays were in style. My Granddaughter genuinely loves it. It does have some issues you may want to know about though. If you're not handy with tools you might need to pass on this bike, or bring it to a bike shop before the kids get on it. First - THERE WAS ZERO GREASE in any of the bearings, including the crank, both wheels and the steering tube. No grease means NO grease, the bike will not last more than a month at best like this. The bearings were very rough and "growling". All these areas need to be pulled apart, greased and reassembled. You Tube has some good instructional videos on this. Second - it came with a dented rear fender and the box was badly damaged, just like some of the other reviews reported. I called Schwinn and they replaced the fenders quickly, however, they said they didn't have the same color (white) fenders that came on the bike and they would have to send pink ones. The replacement fenders are a different color pink than anything else on the bike and even the replacement fenders themselves are two different shades of pink. This means I either need to straighten and repaint the damaged area on the original fender, or paint the new one white. Third - The rear tire is out of round, it is sufficient for a youngster to ride but that's not the point. But other than that it is a great bike. Enjoy :-) It's amazing that Schwinn would send out brand new products in this condition, they used to be some of the best bikes around. I gave it a high value for money rating because my granddaughter likes it so much.

Please regarding seat height adjustment
Please see my picture to obtain the lowest seating position without modification. Basically, you just need to tap the seat post so it goes down after securing the seat brace (arc)! Now, the product specification is still wrong, daughter is 4'2 and her tippy toes shoes barely touch the ground so she has to wait a bit before she can ride this bike comfortably. Seat brace (the arc) should be drilled in different positions to allow adjustment. However, I'm still giving this bike a 5 stars because I got mine from amazon warehouse with the damaged box but everything is intact. Kudos to Amazon!
