LEGO41353 Friends Advent Calendar

This set has 500 parts, the next largest Lego Advent set contains 370 parts. So this is easily the best set they ever sold. Every day gives you a mini set that you can hang on your Xmas tree. It's not Friends themed at all so you can reuse the decorations again and again every year.

The last couple of years we have had Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig toy advent calendars. They cost the same as this but weren't really worth the money. This Lego advent calendar absolutely is. You get a mini make every day (with plenty of spare pieces too) and each little model is a decoration you can hang on the tree. The pictures are very easy to follow, so much so that my 5 year old has been able to make everything by herself so far. The only downside is it has led to a last minute change to the Christmas list to add a ton of Lego sets! Needless to say we will definitely be buying Lego advent calendars every year from now on.

Bought for a 10 year old Lego Friends fan. Each mini-model needed building, without instructions, and she happily did this every day. I thought the Lego bricks would end up mixed up with all the rest but 6 months later the models are still intact and on display. I'm sure they'll get reused in due course!

Firstly we LOVE this advent. A different decoration to build everyday and they are excellent. However. There are no instructions just a picture, so the children need help to build. And more importantly we cannot work out what two of them are! We bought on offer but I would pay up to £25 for this. It really is brilliant. Just a star lost for the lack of explanations.

I usually go for the Lego City advent calendar but got fed up with the same old non Christmas inspired items year after year. This time I purchased the Lego Friends set. It doesn't have any mini figures but I buy it for the mini builds so it's not an issue for me. I love that each day has a little project to complete and that some of them double up as Christmas tree ornaments. If you're looking for a calendar with a Christmas theme then this is the one to go for. It doesn't hurt that there are a ton more pieces than the other Lego calendars.

This was the best idea for an advent calendar I've ever come across. My 4 year old daughter loved every minute and could often build the item herself without any help. The best part was that each build had a loop to string ribbon through and be a Christmas tree ornament! Brilliant! Will look out for them next year!
