Ecrits: The First Complete Edition in English Paperback – 17 Jan. 2007

As the title says, this is the first complete edition of Lacan's seminars translated in English. The translation was made by Bruce Fink, a Lacanian psychoanalyst and professor at the Duquesne University. Lacan is perhaps notorious for being difficult to understand and this book is not for beginners. It would be nice if the reader already has a prior knowledge of basic Lacanian concepts, such as the mirror stage, the RSI knot as well as how the unconscious is structured like a language.I highly recommend this book to readers who want to have an in-depth knowldege on various topics discussed by Lacan.

If u can understand lacan, its brilliant its his entire lifes work summaries in a incomprehensible book, but amazing once your able to understand it

This has been really useful for my dissertation for my BA (hons) in Photojournalism, and I hope that it will prove useful throughout the rest of my Degree.

The book arrived within decent time, but on opening the package the book's two covers were slashed and the outer cover had to be removed. Otherwise the price is great considering its real value and im happy to have the book otherwise.
