Perfect for safe place but not babyish.
We liked the real looking rubber tips. We liked that you set the arrow against it to shoot like an adult bow. (Unlike another product that had a hole you slip arrow into then release. She liked the real wood and tips. The feathers are crappy and they probably shouldn't have cut into the arrow shaft to attach them, but it's ok.We didn't buy for accuracy, but they do fly far enough to surprise her. She enjoys it. Suction cups would look babyish. Not old enough for strength of real bow. Perfect middle ground choice! She is 9.

Still try to get them a little glove because it snaps back like a real the real thing.
I was going to return this because it came super late. But after I received it and took a look at it, I decided to give it to her great gift ideal deal for kids. She loves it. Perfect size for ages 4-7. I think

Happy daughter, willing to overlook small things
My daughter was Katniss for Halloween this year, and since she couldn't do regular trick-or-treating, we wanted her to at least have the pleasure of a working bow. This fit the bill, and she really enjoyed shooting the three arrows that come with this set. I imagine she'll play with this for awhile. The bow is a nice size (not too small to feel like it's for a little kid) and seems fairly sturdy. The wood makes it feel special. The arrows were already losing their feathers when we opened the package, but for play, this doesn't seem to affect the shooting of the arrows too much. One or two of the rubber tips keep falling off the arrows, but so far we've been able to stick them right back on, and it's great how soft the rubber tips are. She isn't aiming them at anyone, but I don't think they would hurt someone very much if she did.Her main complaint is the quiver, which is a small wooden tube with no shoulder strap, so we made one and attached it. There is no practical way to carry it otherwise, since you need both hands to aim and shoot the bow. This toy met its purpose at our house and we are happy with the purchase. I wish parts weren't already falling off, but since so far it's still working, we're okay with that. :)

Great for a Halloween Costume
This was perfect with my Robin Hood Halloween costume. It looks authentic enough for costume use without being a dangerous item in any way.

Not for actually shooting
Okay. I'd like to preface this with the face that I bought this as a costume prop, not ever intending on firing anything from it. For the purpose of a prop, it's perfect, sturdy and lightweight. Shipping was excellent, and arrived in a speedy 3 days. That being said, if you are buying this as a toy, with intentions of it actually firing on of the included arrows, your expectations are way too high. The arrows are junk. All 3 are warped, one so bad its almost at a 30 degree angle. The feather "flights" are more like pillow feathers hot glued on, and the rubber tips fall off instantly.I can't say anything about the wooden quiver SINCE I NEVER RECEIVED IT. Not that I needed or wanted it, but it would have been nice to at least get everything included in the listing.Bottom line: Bow itself is sturdy, made of wood and bamboo, and looks good enough. My plans for it are to paint and modify it to be Green Arrow. For that purpose, it'll do.As a childs toy, it sucks.

Perfect for My Daughter
My daughter wants to be an archer for Halloween. We got this yesterday and it works very well. It is good for an athletic girl who knows how to be gentle, but someone could break it, if they are too rough. She can shoot it very well now and enjoys it. Great accuracy! She love it! Thank you so much!

Surprisingly good for the price - as a prop only
This is great for the price paid. It even actually shoots the rubber tipped arrows across the room! That's pretty much it though. The feathers are merely for looks (duh) and I would worry about pulling it too far back. It's hard to keep the arrows steady, as you can see by my weird finger placement. The quiver is a comically simple wood box and doesn't have any good way to attach to you. My costume had a strap that went across my chest and back, so I could tie it to that in two places.Don't actually try to use this for anything. As a prop for a costume, it's perfect and I was delighted with it.

Nice bow and arrows set
This is a nice bow and arrows set, my son loved it. He is ten, and we have no intention to use it for learning archery, just as a toy. Reading all, the reviews, we were a bit concerned over the quality, but ended up thinking we could still use it as a toy. Which is exactly what it is - an inexpensive toy. It is pleasant to play with as it is made of real wood, and actually shoots the arrows. No, you cannot use it to reliably hit a target, but just for play it's ok. The kids definitely need supervision with it, as the arrow can hit really strong. The tIps of arrows are pretty hard even though made of plastic. I did not give it 5 starts as arrows are a bit flimsy, one was bent front the beginning.
