Good Value, Really.
My previous sifter has two mesh screens and two rotating wheels. The rotating wheels are activated by a squeezing handle. The most typical design. It was easy to use and quick. However, foods eventually trapped in between the mesh screens and they were impossible to get out. Washing it with water only made the matter worse. This is a very common problem. I had to replace it after only 2 months. Consequently, I shop for an old-fashion single screen sifter -- a sifter I can wash without worrying pieces trap inside the sifter. After doing much research, I bought this Norpo 3-Cup sifter. It is made of 18/8 stainless steel, fitted with a single hemisphere mesh screen and a rotatable 4-wire agitator. The stainless steel body is rigid and the rotatable hand crank is smooth. Washing it is simple. The sifting is easy and the resulting flour is good. The price tag was slightly less than $10 which is very cheap, especially it was offered via the 4-for-3 program, so I probably only paid ~$8 for it.Now, there are issues when I get this product. Although the product arrived relatively undamaged, it was not packed properly and it could have been badly damaged. The mesh screen was pushed slightly out of shape when it arrived and I had to mold it back to allow better contact with the 4-wire agitator. I assume the product was fine when it left the factory and the mesh screen was altered during shipping. These two problems do not directly speak about this product, but rather the potential problems when buying online. Because this is a single mesh screen sifter, the sifted flour is not quite as fluffy as my previous two screens sifter. Although the rotating action of this sifter is pretty simple, it is still not as simple to use as the hand-squeeze ones. In addition, the sifter action from the agitator can flick tiny amount flour outside of the cup, causing you to clean up the mess afterall. Despite its minor drawbacks, this sifter provides exactly what I am looking for and I am very happy.I highly recommend this sifter if you are looking for a functional sifter which foods will not get stuck and easy to wash.

Great deal and HUGE!
I decided to splurge on this because I've had problems over the years with my sifters rusting and not holding up. Wow..I was so impressed when it arrived and I saw the size. This will hold a LOT of flour at one time. It works smoother than any sifter I have ever owned. Well made, sturdy and looks nice too. clean up is a breeze. So glad I invested in this. I'm thinking it will last for years, and probably will be handed down one day.

Huge, fast and practical Sifter I have ever used!!
This is the best sifter that I have been found in the world of bread baking tools. I purchased many other types of sifter before, but no one like this. It's very fast in comparing with other sifter types. Also, it's so big. I filled it with 7 cups of flour, start sifting and it's finished in a few seconds!! You can use it as a commercial sifter to sift about one kg. in a few seconds. Its quality is great. It's made of a high quality stainless steel. I love it.

Large, doesn't get everything
The pros- looks awesome, is huge (bigger then I expected, I need to pay attention to dimensions better, but great for large batch stuff), and cleans easily. The cons- when sifting, flours build up on the inside lip of it, the bottom is narrower then the top, and caves in, leaving a bit of room for stuff to get stuck. when sifting, because it is just bars scraping a screen, we have an issue with some flours, like coconut flour, just bouncing around and never getting broken up. What it does sift is powder perfection.

Works well but does rust and the handle is a joke
Overall super easy to use. I use exclusively for cocoa powder and powdered sugar. It does a great job with both. The handle is fairly cumbersome with large batches but I usually just place a bin to catch the sifted ingredient and hug the sifter against my belly which is way more comfortable than holding the handle. Like other reviewers mentioned, the funnel shape at the bottom has a lip that tends to catch ingredients but a simple tap tap on the side and it all comes out. Also as another reviewer noted, there is rust already on the threads after a single wash but hasn't effected the use. Overall a good price for the item.

The cadillac of sifters
This sifter is magnificent! It has a sturdy crank which works very efficiently, and the 8 cup capacity means I can sift all my powdered sugar for a frosting recipe in seconds all at once. If you bake at all DO NOT buy one of the sifters that has a squeeze handle mechanism or that you simply shake back and forth. The hand crank is the tried and true way to do it. Much easier! And this is great sturdy construction too. Worth it by a long shot.

Very happy.
This is a great sifter. I was surprised by how huge it looks. It sifts 6 cups in a minute. I grind my own flour and have tried other sifters. This one did the job in no time. In the past I dreaded having to sift large amounts of flour. Not anymore. One thing, it would be nice if they included a cover. Flour will fly out if you sift fast. I just use a piece of foil as a cover. The sifter is also easy to clean. Just wipe with a dry cloth. Don't use water. I store the sifter in a plastic bag, to be safe.
