So incredibly disappointed....read title description and reviews....which now seem very suspectThese are NOT walking socks....they are NOT padded.....they are basic cotton Terry socks....they type you can buy in market stalls for about £2 a pair. Absolute deceit and misrepresentation the way these are described.....and listed on Amazon.They are cheap made in China market level socks......tripled in price from what they are actually worth.

These are very well made socks. They are of a resilient material, they wick well and are neither too thin nor too thick.My gripe is with the sizing. The problem of having size 11 feet is that so many "large" sizes are 7-11, 8-11 ... Always with 11 as the upper limit. So socks are often on the tight side (if only the bloody general public would have the basic courtesy to all be the same and meet these manufacturers' requirements!).These are sized "XL 9-11.5 UK" so should be ideal. They are also apparently blessed with "PERFECT ELASTICITY" ( not shouting - that's the listing). So why are they so tough to put on and even tougher to take off even after only a few hours?I still trying with them for now - mainly to get them to stretch somehow (any suggestions?). But my feet are not loving this.Maybe if you are size 9 rather than 11 you'll have better luck? (It's late at night as I write this, and I'm trying to get my feet to recover a little... hence the grumpy review.)

So I bought these socks specifically because I've started doing much longer walks with my dogs. I spend roughly 45-60 minutes on each walk, twice a day. So having comfortable clothing to wear really helps to not ware me out as much as it used to before I got stuff that was more suitable. I got myself some hiking boots along with these socks and they work great. However, obviously, since the weather is pretty hot at the moment, I have noticed that my feet tend to sweat more with these socks, but that's to be expected. Can't imagine I'd fault these in the right environment. Overall, I'd definitely recommend a purchase!

I'm a size UK 8.5 (and followed the advice of another reviewer with the same size feet) so I purchased the XL (strange sizing because I'm not an Extra Large at all), unfortunately they were a little too big. However two issues I had in addition were that 1) the socks seemed to have a lot of friction to them and so my house trousers (training pants) would always stay hitched up due to these sock's material friction! (I've never had that happen with other socks and wondered if it were due to them being so thick, but I don't believe that to be the case as I have other socks as thick as these). Secondly, and this is MORE towards Amazon's resellers..... the package arrived in its clear, see-through package and nothing else, NO BOX. AND the packaging wasn't secure (meaning anyone, ie the postman etc could have opened this package and helped themselves). So, the postman could see I'd purchased socks, and would have been able to open and inspect this item. WHY NO BOX? What if I need to return the item? I'm sure you'd want me to do a better job than you had done in taking some precautions regarding security? Finally, I do have to say, the colour and pattern of these socks is a little unusual. Not really my style (so I've reordered in just plain black).

good price for a selection pack of comfy socks. was a wee bit wary as other reviewer described them as being tight on the calves. I have pretty stocky legs but although the socks do feel like they are "tight" I'd say they are "supportive" more than anything and they don't leave ring marks around your legs. They don't dig in that way, the elasticity is very well spread throughout so they remain comfortable. when some of my other socks get past their best I'll happily get another set of these

These used to be a great brand, and I've been trying to get some of the same socks I bought a year ago.But this is the third pack I've had that are too big, and much thinner than the originals.(I am a 9 1/2 and bought the "6-9" size. Still too big).The first two recent packs went back for a refund, I can't be bothered with battling with Hermes to take these.

I spend a lot of time in boots so socks can make or break my day... And my feet. I ordered these they were cheap and plentiful and I thought 'they'll do until the shops open and I can get some decent ones'.I won't be going to the shops.Straight up possibly the nicest socks I've ever worn. Seem to keep my feet dry, and once they're warm they seem to stay warm too.HIGHLY recommend!!!!!

Wasn't sure what to expect but these socks are very comfortable and seem well made, so would probably buy again. Okay the stretch/elastic around the ankle is a bit tight but this will probably relax.
