My youngest granddaughter is a budding artist. She lost/ misplaced her watercolor set at school, so I bought this for her for Christmas. She just loves it! Great color palette and quality.

"Our Greart Grand daughter" asked specifically for this Water color paint set and was beyond excited to see it Christmas Eve. She had used these paints at a friend's house and the outcome of her art work was stunning. I look forward to a picture for my home from this budding artist and am pleased with this purchase of the Watercolor set. Delivery was right on time...great service.

Okay.... I actually purchased this just for the metal container, which is beautiful. I recently got an expensive set of pure pigment watercolors, 36 colors total, and was having a hard time finding a container I liked enough to put them inside. I had already purchased some empty half pans with magnets so was looking for something metal. I purchased and tried a few different things but returned them because they either didn't fit the half pans correctly, or the layout wasn't ideal (I didn't need attached mixing areas which would take up desk space). I kept seeing this set and loved the container but it felt like a waste to buy it just for that.... however, I finally did and I am extremely happy! At around 17 dollars it was close to the same price, or cheaper, than some of the other options I tried but this came with some nice extras like water brushes (I've never tried one before and was always curious). The container itself is very sturdy with great latches and it lays completely flat when fully open. Each side is more than deep enough for my half pans, and when placed close together can each hold 48 half pans! That's 96 total if you want to use both sides! I haven't decided yet if I want to use both sides, but there is plenty of depth for it and you can use the included plastic tray to divide them or add something of your own. If you use both sides it's probably better to leave this on its side when closed so none of the dried paints are upside down, or maybe just get a piece of metal to use as a layer you can place on top of the bottom one and then move to the side when you paint. I'm so happy this fits all 36 of my pure pigment watercolors (in half pans), and with enough room to space them out in a way that lets me read what each color is as I sit at my desk to paint. I like knowing there's still plenty of room for more paints too, which I might need if I decide to buy a few more pigments, or to mix up some pigments in one pan so I can get new colors easier without mixing them each time in my palette. As said, the container is really well made, sturdy, and gorgeous. Everything was packaged well and looked pretty so this would make a great gift. The included paintbrushes seem adequate, if perhaps a little cheap (one of mine had a wobbly connection). I am looking forward to trying the water brushes, and it's nice that a small sponge and watercolor paper chart for the paints are included. I haven't tried the paints, but they look nice for the price and I'll probably keep them for random sketches or give them to someone else. Since there is no lightfast rating for any of the colors I wouldn't use the paints for anything serious, but just for fun is fine. Overall, it's a great set!

Swatches went well and many colors to pick from. Paired with a waterproof pen you’re all set to go! I love that this is compact, fun and is super easy to use. My only recommendation is to let it dry before closing and be mindful of how much water you add to the pallet itself. Because it IS water color, you’re supposed to dip into the pallet and dilute on your tray rather than flood each color in its container. I added some labels to mine to help distinguish colors. For example, 1a is the top left corner and somewhere in the middle would be g9. Some of these colors names don’t match well to thr color in the palette but that’s okay once I added the number/letter system. Overall, It’s great for its value and works well.
