The product is a good quality and perfectly weighed for covering your eyes during Restorative Yoga poses (like Savasana). The use of flax seeds is wise - as they are not very heavy and quite smooth on eyes - the pillow takes a perfect shape when kept on the eyes - giving a good relaxation. The pillow would damp out extraneous motions of the eyes and so would prevent any possible neural action in the brain thereby providing a deep relaxation.What happens internally is this. The mild pressure on the eyes and their orbits will activate what is called the Oculocardiac reflex. The Oculocardiac reflex (also known as Aschner reflex or Ocular-vagal reflex), is a decrease in pulse rate associated with traction applied to extraocular muscles (that control the eye movement) and compression of the eyeballs. With the pillow, the periphery of the eyes receives external pressure, stimulating this reflex that slows down the heart, which in turn lowers the arterial blood pressure within the skull - resulting in relaxation through parasympathetic nervous system activation. With the reduced heart rate, many physiological processes slow as well, helping the person move to a deeply relaxed state.Without the eyes covered in restorative poses, the stimulation on eyes may lead to excitation within the reticular formation that may activate the sympathetic nervous system, reducing the effect of these poses.

Warning, this eye pillow is infused with a perfume of some sort. It does not smell good. A true lavender essential oil is not perfume. It is more expensive to use but essential oil is what can actually make you feel good when smelling, not perfume. I could smell the perfume before I opened the box, it was so strong. If this product had an "unscented" option I would get it. The quality of the eye pillow is not not in question. Also I don't think I received a new item as it was not wrapped in plastic like the pillow was.

I started using this recently. It is such a wonderful product. Sits perfectly on eyes. Perfect weight, texture of cloth. Everything about this is just perfect. Takes away stress and fatigue. Gives me super relaxing sleep! I always wake up fresh now. Highly recommended!

This is a good eye pillow. The good part is that the weight is appropriate and can keep on the eyes for a long time while doing a restorative yogasana. Can also be used for resting the eyes after a long day or for a mid-day nap.The bad part is that the fragrance is somewhat overpowering if the eye pillow is used for a long time. Perhaps thats just my olfactory senses and may not bother a majority of users but personally would have preferred a non scented pillow.

Good buy, only problem was that the fragrance was super strong and pungent. We had to keep it inside a cupboard for few days before using it.

Very happy with the eye pillow! Quality is no doubt excellent but even the usage is excellent! Loved the experience!!

Pillow is good , but there is no Fragrance at all. Thats really disappointing . But with this price what can we expect.

Very useful for doing meditation. Can be used while sleeping also. But the fragrance does not last long as advertised by the seller.
